Default 2006 ROAR Stock Off-Road Nationals at Peel-it R/C Raceway

OK I did not see any thing official [or un official for that matter] on here, so it is now here the official "2006 ROAR Stock Off-Road Nationals at Peel-it R/C Raceway" forum. I am wondering on a few things. I know it is early but when you are traveling half way across the nation, anticipation builds.

When will the enty form be up.

What will be the handout tire.

What will be the handout motor.

Will there be club racing the weekend before the Nats.

What will the host hotel cost.

Thanks and let the anticipation build.

dustin there is 3 hotels to choose from, they usaly are $10-20 bucks cheaper for the racers than the normal prices.tires honestly the track is going to be rebuilt the tires wont matter for the handout because your going to want to make slicks dont worry too much about the tire thing quite yet it usally is slicks for a rebuit track, they run them like 2-4 weeks after is built

for a roar race I thought you'r not able to alter but one row of the tire's tread. That doesn't mean you can run them bald, but thats alot of running in 2 days time, and with a hand out tire, you don't have a ton of time to do that stuff. I only say this because you hardly ever see a nationals race where the drivers in the mags have slicks on the backs of thier cars, I'm not saying that they don't work well, I'm just saying I don't think they allow you to modify thems right out the box.

Panter Tire is the official tire sponsor of the event.....we will be using all of their tires for the event.

The C2 and Cobalt 27 will be the official handout motors for the event.

Slicks are allowed under ROAR rules now.....they got rid of rules trying to prevent them a couple of years ago.....

Scotty Ernst will be coming to town to run the race......Panter Tire and INSERT ANOTHER name here are helping fund Scotty's trip into the race....

Club racing will be on Saturday before the event and then track change on Sunday till its done, then open for practice as per the national rules.

Hotels are the ones listed on the website......

Utah 2002 Roar Stock National`s .......

Tire on fastest ride ?

SLICKS !!

Conditions at the time

Dry
Hot as Hell , 104 degree`s !

inside.....

track was dusty as hell too ...

Thing was ....
Mass cars runing round & round days before, only layed more rubber down on the surface developing even more traction...

so much traction, that slick began to work .....
Surprising the track owners , even the most experience of racer`s attending..

So any "good" off-road racer needs to know and have the skills to take advatage of the track conditions as they arise....

Slicks are just one of the many skills you learn as you gain more off-road experience..
