RC WORLD HOBBIES MIDDLETOWN NY NEW INDOOR CARPET TRACK
#32
When using the old tires, the car lose traction at high speed steering (understeering).
When using new tire, it traction rolls like crazy and I need to slow down a lot before turns. I feel I am losing so much time in the corners.
I am currently running a TRF419 fitted with Xray T4 shocks. 5mm Ride height all around and 2mm droop front and rear.

1) Glue the front tires. (this will take away side-bite to lessen the traction roll)
2) Increase the shimming on your inner camber links, any where from 1mm-2.5mm, this will slow down the reaction of the car, it will also allow the car to roll more in the corner.
3) Reduce the camber, when I started my day I was at 2 degrees all the way around, and I was traction rolling every time in the sweeper, I reduced it to .5 all the way around and that helped.
4) Talk to your fellow racers in the pit, ask Johnny Themlis or Jamie Corrado to look at or drive your car, they're very helpful and know their stuff.
I hope this helps. Ps. it was a pleasure meeting and racing with you this past weekend.

Last weekend was my first time running at Middletown and on the black carpet. When I first got there I was traction rolling like crazy. There's quit a few things you may want to test, I would test each one of these things one at a time to see if helps improve the handling of the car.

I was a pleasure meeting and racing with you as well! I may come to RC Car World during spring break so we might see each other there!

One old tire on the outside, and a new tire on the inside....See if that works...

No, find them on facebook.
On road has suffered a little bit but there is still a lot of posting of oval events. Hopefully road racing will be more popular now that fall is rolling in. I know I plan on trying to make every event and getting some practice in soon.
I have an itch to buy an F1 car and the new 12r6 as well.
