MRRC Raceway Manorville, Long Island N.Y.
#1

Welcome to the MRRC Raceway thread.
Attention: We have some good news and some bad news to share with everyone.
The Bad: As many of you may know the land owner Benny recently passed away 3 weeks ago. We were approached by his family 2 weeks ago and we were told that the Town of Mannorville stated that the land on which MRRC Raceway is on is designated as farmland and would have to be used as such, if not they would not be eligible tax breaks etc. His son did mention that he may have some other land we could use down the road but after checking it out we realized that this was also farmland, we would risk the Town shutting us down again. We looked at a few more locations a little closer to the city and unfortunately none of them worked out. So unfortunately MRRC Raceway in Mannorville will no longer be. We would like to take this moment to thank everyone who supported us from the beginning.
And now some good news.
MRRC will be moving to 205 Greycourt Road, Chester, NY 10918, I know some of you are saying hmm that address looks familiar. Wait a minute that’s the Barn’s address. Well you are correct, it is the Barn and we are happy to announce that MRRC Raceway will be working with Barnstormers RC. As many of you know Lou and his family have an amazing facility and we are honored to be working with them. What does this mean for MRRC? Let’s see, there are 2 tracks both indoor and outdoor, electricity, lights and room for a possible future hobby shop. So please bear with us as we try to iron out all the details. There are some important races on the Barn’s schedule that will continue to run for example Mr. B Day race. We hope all our friends from Long Island will continue to support us. Please beware we may have to postpone our season opener as we have lots of things to work out!
Regards,
Rohan

I stopped down over the weekends to check out the new layout and new surface. After seeing, I was dying to run on it. Unfortunately it was raining. The dirt looked smooth and was rock free. The layout came out great. Good variety of high speed and technical sections. Great job Carl. Can't wait to rat it this weekend.
