- I don't like messing with the car at the track - especially on a faster paced weeknight. When everything is running smoothly, I rarely make any adjustments. It makes me less competitive for sure, but I usually (knocking on all wood around me) have a trouble-free night and rarely drop out of a race. If it isn't broke, I don't fix it.
- By the time my last main and marshaling are starting, I'm packed and ready to go. It takes me over an hour to get home (sometimes more than 2 hours), so the last thing I want to do is take more time to pull the motor and pinion out. I marshal and run as quickly as possible.
- $45 for me AND another $45 for Justin.
- I run my touring car at other tracks. I don't want to take it apart for each place when it's running well.

Believe me - I know how great this spec motor thing is for so many reasons. It just doesn't work for me and I'd rather not do all that wrenching at the track. I like doing it at home, but at the track I like to charge, drive, watch races, and BS with everyone. I don't even want to think about a stripped spur because I set the mesh wrong or didn't tighten a motor screw properly. I'm just hoping over the next few weeks that others are in the same situation because I really don't want to do this. I may actually use the old TC3 for spec because at least I can get the motor in and out very quickly on that car - much quicker than I could with the XRay - if I am not able to run traditional 17.5. Will see what happens tonight. I may try it because I hate running only one class, but I'd certainly rather run USGT and anything else that I don't have to switch a motor to run.

See you later!

It truly was another great night at 360. I was going to run Spec and take the dive but they didn't have the gearing and motor plugs. Hopefully next week.
If there is no traffic I am home I am hour. If there is construction on the GWB it's taken me two hours sometimes. That's why I run out - to beat bridge issues if there are anyway.
For Wednesday, if anyone wants to run USGT and VTA I'm in.

6.5fdr for each tc, or 73/28 and 65/25 for the tc3/tc4 cars(2.5 internal ratio) in 48p gearing....
Thank you for posting TC3 info! Does anyone know what this translates to in 64P? I am getting my TC3 ready for Spec, and I'd like to keep it 64P.

If you want to keep it 64p , you have two options:
#1: 99/38 for 6.51fdr....
#2: 104/40 for exactly 6.5fdr....
Other combos will not fit nicely according to my calculations.....Tc3/tc4 for life..... Good luck....
Also guys, which of the plugs get soldered to the esc wires??? Male or Female ??? I think female but I need to be sure and solder at home as much as possible....

Female plugs for the speed control wires. I wired mine last week at the track. Looks as if they are 3.5mm female if you want to get them from a LHS to be prepared for 360.

I didn't get to race but had a blast hanging out after racing was all over to run some packs.

Pretty sure you’ll be needing male plugs. And apparently the track is stocked.

In case anyone is looking to change our upgrade their radio's, I'm going to sell my limited edition Futaba 4PXr (chrome case) and a few receivers. I feel like trying something new. I'd prefer to sell local and eliminate the risk of shipping.

If interested, e-mail me at [email protected]. $450 and will include 4x receivers.
