Default Missing Power supply

racers.

I left my stuff last year on the table where Sammy Saks was sitting (next to Ralph TQ). I found most of my stuff back last Sunday but still missing a power supply, its a one of those silver PC power supply converted one. with "Sweep Design" decals over the output posts. if you know where it is, please return to the podium.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Everyone,

First, let me introduce myself. I’ve been out of the hobby for 10+ years and I would like to get back in again. I stared back in the 80’s, when Tower Hobbies rules supreme. I used to drool over the Kyosho Vanning but I was just a kid back then and couldn’t afford the insane price tag. So, I settled for a Kyosho Ultima instead and that's how the rabbit hole all got started.

I used to bash and race 1/10 touring , 1/8 on-road, and off-road nitros but never really got good at it; I enjoyed the build, experiment, and technical aspect more. I also do RC helicopter and became a decent 3D pilot. I found out about this place recently and it made me reminisce about the good ole days.

So, I would like to get back in but I don’t have a car. I’ve done some research and narrowed down my choice to either a budget racer like 3Racing Sakura XI sport or go top shelf and get an used XRAY T4. If anyone is selling at the club please hook me up. Also, I'll need a lot of practice before I can start racing. Do you guys have practice every Saturday or does that change from week to week?

Thanks,
John

For the summer we're running only on Wednesday's. You should check out the "360v2 New Rochelle" page on Facebook for more information on classes and general info.

I picked up a XRay T4 '16, so excited. Is the USGT a good class to start for someone who is really rusty?

Ok I did some more research...looks like USGT would be a good fit for me. I found this article below on USGT setup...I'll use that below as a baseline setup once i get my car.

USGT Suspension Setup
As for a good setup for your USGT car, the following is a good starting point setup for most cars.
20-25 lbs shock springs
20-30 wt shock oil
-2 degrees camber (tops of the tires in slightly more than bottoms)
0 degrees front toe-in
2-3 degrees rear toe-in
5mm ride height
2-3mm of up-travel (set using droop screws to limit how high chassis can lift above static ride height before tires will leave the ground)

If you run gear diffs, try 10k-50k wt diff oil in the front and 1k-2k wt diff oil in the rear.

Here is a basic carpet setup for the T4-16. petitrc is a good place to find setups. I'm sure others can chime in with a specific 360v2 one.

Yes it is. Just don't get discouraged. It may take a while to catch up. Race, learn, and have fun!

And listen to Ralph. He knows what he's talking about.

I'll try and join you guys next wednesday. Finally finished rebuilding my used Xray T4 '16. Very impressed with the car and the fit and finish. But damn...parts are so expensive. I hope don't crash too much lol
