I am ready to move on...hate getting worked up over R/C.

Enough has been said...it is what it is. Getting angry at this just creates unnecesary tension on racedays which is not productive to a fun day of racing. I am packing the whole discussion in and continuing my old setup.

I love them. They are super easy to tune and never give you any trouble. Only reasion why I'm selling them is because I got 2 Tekin RS's to try out.

You can go to the skate park in Fairfield...its over by jennings beach. They have a really big park for it, and the ramps are actually small.

I found a neat bash spot by accident which is good for 1/10 or 1/8.
In devon/Milford off of Naugatuck Ave believe it or not. If you head south (easy to get to from Rt.1) it is a little down the road on the left directly under the I95 overpass. Lots of dirty/rocky and some flat acreage that my Rustler loved even with a lower stance. A widened VXL pede would have a field day or a good sized 1/8 nitro/electric.

it isn't that far out of Stratford at all.

You know what is funny from my point of veiw?

I have my ROAR membership, ROAR legal batteries, my lipo charging sack, my ROAR legal modified motor in my 4wd buggy that fits all of ROAR's rules of dimensions including minimum weight. My charger even stays just under 4.4 volts per cell, yup thats a rule too....

I don't think you could find a track in the U.S. at any race (ROAR or not) that my car wouldn't be legal in the 4wd modified buggy class (I bet my car would be competitive too). No worries even handing my car into tech inspection.

Win or lose - I know its because of driving ability, everybody knows, in the modified class. Nobody even gets accused of cheating in the modified classes.

I don't think that bone stock 18Ts would have any problems at all either and they're cheap! Not for nuthin, but we could probably easily get more people for a mini class then we do for oval.
If you could actually do that I would be very very happy!

We could get more people than dirt oval just by not running dirt oval -

I TQed the corr race this weekend with a box stock Slash. Although I was running a 40c lipo because my I could only fit the 30c in the RB-5. I guess it made a difference? I blew a shock cap off in the main (two caps all day) so I think I MIGHT have to get the aluminum ones?

My personal opinion as to why the slash spec class didn't work is because there were no ground rules laid down from the beginning. Then the sc10.... well you know.

My only hope is that newbies decide to buy slashes and run them in sportsman.

VIA LA Slash!!!
