Two: What time does racing start again on Saturday? i already forgot.

Three: I might not be able to race this Saturday cause the bosses screwed me over again.

Speaking of my boss. He owns 4 mustangs.

2. Blue super charged 800+ WHP
3. Green Twin Turbo 926+ WHP (took motor out and sold it)

General Question for All:

How do you guys usually approach the drop off at the end of the 2nd big sweeper??

Just curious to see what tactics you guys use when approaching that section of the track.

From watching Kyle, he basically jumps from the drop off, to the face of the first jump and everything else is a blurr from that point on....

I try and slow down and cut close to the corner. that is the hardest part of the track I feel. Next is trying to see past the marshal in the middle, last making it through the potholes deeper then a crater going by scale. lol

I find if the car Jumps, it flips and i'm done.

you talking about the quad (red) section.

If you are i try to take it close inside. But thats hard, cause if i go to fast i hit the wall. Then i try to take it easy, but for some odd reason i brake loose and tap the wall or drift left.

im watching a 65 continental limo for sale on speed channel

Thanks for Input Murphy.

You know what throws me off, if I don't hit it right, the two bumps right before the double, I usually take that line, real close to the pipe, but if I take it more towards the center, , I really have to slow down to gather it back up.

What potholes are you referring to?? I know that the table top after the double it's a bit tricky, if you take it too far out, your rear end will kick up....

Disclaimer,
I'm not criticizing the track, just trying to get people to write about driving tactics around different sections of the track...

(I'm taking notes!!!!)

Yup, the quad section.

The general consensus is to take the turn, close to the corner, but I have some sort of mental block towards doing that, I think I'm gonna get hung up in the corner, so I try and take it wide to stay clear of the corner, and that slows me down...

Thanks for the input Promaxx...

As far as the back red session I have the same trouble with mod truck and the Slash...I dive in tight and if I peg the corner I get screwed bad by the rope stake. I have to hit a single double single and rarely now a single triple. I think I said that right.

My hardest part is the back tabletop approaching the front straight. I have a little trouble carrying speed to get up on the hump and then getting up and moving in the last turn approaching the front straight seems to be a little hard. If I power up too early I hit the outer wall where you need to make that slight right. Those two areas are my trouble spots.

Lately..less speed has been more for me. I want to break out of the 17 second laps but i have to work harder on those two spots.

Folks..need a little help to practice tomorrow.

i want to get some outdoor/indoor practice time somewhere but I only have until noon-ish.

Does Wolcott or any other place have an outdoor track to practice at or should I just go to Pin Shop or something? I don't know the area too well but i could figure something out.

I am running mod truck and Slash Saturday...I can't wait to see how my setups hold up!
