I have to get my car serviced tomorrow. If it gets done in a reasonable time, I'll be there on Saturday for practice. Otherwise, I'll have to start learning this B5 at 7AM on Sunday.

Hectic week...also need to rip apart two YZ10s and send stuff to Fibre-Lyte for reproduction. That's tonight's hasty project.

Each person has their own driving style. Your best bet is to start with the factory setup. Most setups do not deviate much, if at all, from that. Unless you're one of those guys who thinks he knows better than the factory drivers and tunes their car into oblivion

Ed Sahm I believe runs a centro. If you race Sunday look for the big guy with the fleet of bright orange buggies and trucks. Call him Big Daddy, he likes that

I expect to run vintage buggy, 17.5 buggy, 4wd buggy, and possibly mod ST tomorrow.

My car is still at the dealer. Will remain so through monday (new brake parts are on order), so I'll be showing up tomorrow in a loaner RX350. Can't make practice today, unfortunately. Need to figure out which of my cars to sell to offset the cost of this service (it's an expensive one!).

Bars (Suburbs, Bar Codes, Beams) or mini-pins (Ions, Pressure Points, Typos) seem to do the trick for most folks.

Proline M4 - JC Green or Black - HB Pink

If your race is shortly after the track is watered then Gold/MC may work for you. I'm personally neutral on the clay tires, but some folks swear by them.

What are the rules as far as tires, motor and speedo for vintage. I'm not bringing mine but would like to know for future reference when I get done with it.

for those of you who are building a b5 (posted on b5rm thread too): checked my build order on the gearbox. it was correct. shims wouldn't have worked either. re-measured the bearings. they were correct, as suspected, the top shaft spacer was defective. sorry, this is something that can't be hand fit and made to work as somebody on the b5 rm thread suggested earlier. luckily, i have a second kit that i was able to compare top shaft spacers. take note of the measurement of the spacer. looks like i'm making another phone call to ae. still love the buggy though.

difference in the gearbox enough to move the slipper/spur and lose gear mesh:

I believe it is 17.5 for 2wd & ST. Max 10.5 for 4wd. ESC is open (aka non-blinky if you wish)
