17.5 buggy is usually one of the more popular classes, should be a decent turnout.

Sam, I think the best thing to do is to see if any of the guys will let you test drive the brands you have in mind before deciding...You can drive my b44.2, SC10 and Losi 22 tomorrow if you like.

AE and Losi both have excellent parts support, so if I were you, I'd pick between them. Losi's 4wd buggy isn't out until late January, though, and it will be quite expensive. I'm not entirely sure why you'd want a 44.2, though, since you have a brand new Durango DEX410. That Durango is probably more reliable (if you build it right!), and you have a few folks like JP and Photog who can help you with it. So, my suggestion is to hang onto that and get a 2wd buggy and stadium truck. I don't know if your mom realizes how expensive 4wd buggy is, even the 44.2 which is among the least expensive, and in the long run you will be spending more money on parts for the 44.2 than you would on a B4 or T4 (or a 22 and 22T). More people at RCHR run AE than Losi, so AE is probably your best bet, but I'd stick with the 2wd platforms unless you have a job or unless your mom is willing to buy you spares as you break front arms, diff gears, etc.

thinking of switching from AE to Kyosho or TLR. Anyone know how the new 22 2.0 compares to the RB6?

thanks, see you soon

Sam I agree with Rinaldo and Will. I have a SC10.2 you can try for Sunday and a B4.1.5 (very close to 4.2) you can try as well. I have heard from several sources that the Durango is the most reliable 4x4. You could always ask Santa for a SC10.2 and electronics and batteries.

What time does the race start tomorrow and is it $25.00 for the guys not running a vintage car?

Had a blast today. Just want to reiterate that a once per month cadence seems pretty good for running vintage. I would be perfectly happy with a combined vintage/modern race once per month - it would give me a chance to break out my different 4wd buggies

Had a great time today as well, the racing was very close. Renaldo, your vintage 4wd buggy looked great. I agree with designating a day once a month for vintage stuff, I'd have no issue running my B4.1 with the vintage guys.
