More like vintage whore, but I don't doubt the assertion.

The '91 Works is pretty cool. Needs some cleaning, though. It has the 2mm pitch belts front and rear, as opposed to the standard 3mm on the 870, '93 works, and '94. Also has the older layshaft without the slipper and with the one-way on the rear center pulley rather than the front center pulley.

I'm kind of running out of appealing vintage cars to collect, which my wallet is happy about. Maybe one day an Optima Mid SE, which are not too hard to find, or a Pro X which is damn near impossible to find. Or maybe some of the older CATs, like the XL and XLS...

Haha...I was thinking the same thing

There are several Optima Mids on eBay right now. A few of them are auction only, but two of them are "buy it now" (listed below). Both in pretty good condition and very reasonably priced.

Guys, I changed up the format of the WNW page a bit. I'm now adding all the reports from the scoring system plus the videos recorded from the mains...enjoy!

Good job will.

finished up my 4wd buggy last night. Gotta fix this issue with the steering locking up. Temporarily fixed it by adjusting endpoints. I didn't want to move the ball stud on the steering rack to change my ackerman, but I guess I gotta do it.

I really like the format of the results posting, Will. All of the information is there - race reports, fast lap times, videos, the whole shebang. Can't say the same about some other tracks...ahem...

Information technology FTW!

Hey guys! I haven't been there in over a year. Early 2012 I think. A hole has opened up in my schedule and it may be possible to come race next Wed. Doors still open at 5:30pm? And what's been the tire of choice for the various classes? A Suburb style tire? A Holeshot type tire? Any recent track pics or videos around that I can view to get an idea what to expect? How's the turnout for Mod 2wd SC and Stadium Truck? Also 4wd SC and 17.5 Buggy? Hope to get a good feel for what I need to prep up to come run. Thanks.
