Is the grand prix this weekend

I think i will do it Freddy. If someone can give me the low-down on gear ratios and how to gear a 17.5 so it will be somewhat fast, i will do it.

Not too many are familiar with gearing a buggy at 17.5 here in the Northeast, but from what I've seen, a 5.9 FDR is ideal. I've even seen people use as low as 5.61 (69/32 on a B4.1).

Hey Wilson,
Ideally, you want a small spur and larger pinion, like Angelo said, a 6.0 final drive ratio is a good starting point, and gear up or down accordingly.
Do it!!!!! Its fun as heck and very competitive.....
We're all gunning for Royce Berrios, he's the king of the Spec 2wd Buggy class, he's won the tittle the past two Grand Prix, if I'm not mistaken...

We've never run 17.5 as "Stock" buggy in the past. We always went with LIR's 10.5(?) limit (maybe it was 13.5).
That said, I run a 7.0 ratio in my SC. I could easily get down to a 6.0 or lower with a buggy.
