if you are running a 710, the serpent is the best box for that car. but imo, the mugen box is the best for all other cars, but i am not certain if it will work with the ntc3 or fw05. good luck.

I just purchased a GS box and it will start ANYTHING nice design and not at all Ofna HEAVY. :sneaky:

I too have just purchased the GS Racing box. Easy to work on and setup, 700 series motor, priced right. I will be using it with a Delta XP4. No matter what box you get, at least get one with a 700 series motor instead of 2 540's. Another plus for the GS box is you can get replacement parts for it.

I broke one of my screws on the post and called GS and they sent me the whole package of metal parts package. A 26 dollar package for free.. I got here in 3 days also.. GUy just asked me to send him a pic of the broken part..

Only problem is its bulky and heavy.

I got the TM X5 Turbo a couple of weeks ago for my 710 with Mega ZX12.
Works great and looks good!

where did you get those black mountedz at? those are nice I love black rims but never seen any for onroad before.

Artificial-I 01-11-2006 02:01 PM

I painted them myself with this all purpose paint. I was afraid it wouldnt be durable , but it actually seems to have worked very well. Ill get the name of the paint for you later.

Another thing you can do to your white rims is die them with RIT dye , you can find this at most stores....target/walmart/grocery store.

I think you just dip the white rim in and it pretty much soaks it up and will be very durable as the plastic itself becomes that color. I havent tried this yet , but think I will with my next pair.

Quickness wise though the spray paint worked well...just let them dry for 24 hour....even with the wheel nut tightened down on them it didnt come off at all. Was pretty happy. Also yeah black rim looks nice.

Its what I have on my real 1:1 car. Black car , black wheels.

those are some high tech starter boxes i have a thunder tiger pitmate starter box for 1/10 its a good starterbox as it gives you some fair few choices for the flywheel placement so it will accomadate most 1/10 tourers.

As you are driving Evolva, I suggest you to use Alpha. That's the one you need as that's the choice for top 1/8 onroad drivers.

The smallest, lightest and best starter box available for gas powered onroad cars--from customers

Why should you buy the Alpha if there is a X5 Turbo??
The X5 is more configurable, a 12V battery fits, looks much better....
Same price, same power....
