I love the FW05RR... i actually love it more than my RRR EVO WCE. I think its the built and it really rolls smooth.

The only thing is, parts is really hard to get for this car.

rhys: If you cant make it to the A-Main with the 05rr... you got a buyer here.

Good day of racing yesterday... just got one question...

For those of yougiving this car a serious run, has anyone had probs w/ the pins that hold the break disk sliding out? Ive tried everything, changed to the alu 3racing part but no difference, also tried to epoxy the pins in but nothing. I have destroyed several trans mount, currently running the 3 racing version that opens on the top.

It has ruined many A mains in these past 2 years w/ the car. On another note, I can say this has been the only problem I have encountered w/ the car. Last A main run w/ this car was yesterday, and again had the same problem.

So if you have any ideas on how to resolve this problem for good, please keep me in the loop.

thanks

OK I'll let you know, for straters, let me say I run the 3 racing quick change center bulk head. The pads are the ssp ones, I have tried the 3 racing Alu break stopper and the stock plastic Kyosho one. To both I have tried to epoxy the pins in place and have left them stock but no improvement. I have put a spacer between the disk and the bearing to limit the travel. And even then I somehow loosen the pins to the point that they hit the center bulkhead and bind. I have ordered the Kfactory and the Alu Kyocho break stopper (disk break holder) and will be testing them to see if this may solve the problem. But I fear that I may only be able to resolve this by making a new part or something that may hold a different manufacturer's disk break. Maybe Ofna CD3 one or something. we'll see what happens w the other 2 when they come in from HK.

Hi, try to Locktide the pins, dont use the one for theads, but the harder one - dont remember the number, it is green and then it is not possible to remove until heating a quite lot. I use it for FSR boats.

Exclamation FW-05T Offset conversion

Folks I wanted to know if it was possible to convert FW-05T 2mm offset to 0mm offset much like it can be done on the RRR ??

You mean the 2mm offset on the rear joints ? Or do you still use the "old" 2mm offset wheels ?

If you use the wheels, you can purchase the joints with 2mm offset on them, this gives you the possibility to use 0mm offset wheels. You can use VSW007 or VZ081 do make this happen. Just replace the existing ones.

But if you want to get ride of the offset joints, you can use the FW-05RR rear end, it's a little more work, but if you download the exploded view from the FW-05RR you can find the parts needed. A fw-05T+ also has the same rear btw. It uses some parts of the V-One RRR !

I used both the 2mm offset joints and the FW-05RR setup, makes no difference in driving in my opinion, the front is a different story :-)

Is that supposed to be an upgrade worth to be called 06? it looks more like a FW-05t++ . Oh well I guess no FW-06R

The difference is amazing

Well, what do you know !
