Default .08 spur gear

Just got my RR and I order my 37 tooth ring set. I ordered my .08 gears but I can not find out which spurs will fit, will someone please Help? The track I will be running is large so I need the top speed. Any help will will be great. I was told this car will not get me out of the c main, so I have got some work to do. When I drove my MTX3 & 710 I was an A main driver. Shaft is new to me and I will be on my own, I will be the only one running it. So I will be asking alot of questions. If you want to see the track I will be running on check out the site below.

Hi,

Just look at the website of Kyosho Germany, they list very nicely all options. Much better then the us or japan site.

Look for vz115 (first gear) and vz116 second gear

Just very curious... I drive a fw05rr myself.. but for topspeed you normally would choose a V-one RRR, why did you go for the shaft ??
I drive a fw05rr because the main circuit I race is very small and technical, I benefid greatly from the direct drive of a shaft... but top speed is normally lower ...

First gears come in steel btw... just out a couple of months. (Only first gear)

VZW-66-20 Ritzel#20Z, Steel = vz115-20 alu
VZW-66-21 Ritzel#21Z, Steel = vz115-21 alu
VZW-66-22 Ritzel#22Z, Steel = vz115-22 alu
VZW-66-23 Ritzel#23Z, Steel = vz115-23 alu

Last much longer, runs smootly.

All will depend on your engine how to gear... with already the 37T in... I don't think gearing for the very max will give your the max top speed.. or you need to have a very powerfull engine !

Default Thanks

I was told that I could not do it so I took the chance. If I can not make it to the A main on our club track www.301raceway.com then I will get rid of the car. Thanks for the Gears where do I find .08 spur gears that fit?

1st gear
50T = VS007
51T = VS006

2nd gear
45T = VS009
46T = VS008

Some of them now have a "b" after them, but I don't know what the difference is.

Default Thanks

I got it now. I was not thinking right I was still stuck on mtx3 with 1.0 and .8.
I still need all the advice I can get, Please continue to help. Thanks.

Thanks for the part numbers, but these r for the standard spurs. I ordered part numbers
vzw066-20
...-21
vz116-27
...-28
Theses parts r for the .08 gears they do not mesh with the standard spurs.
Not trying to be a pest just wanted to know the right way so I will not waste my time trying different things. The back straight with the sweeper is longer than 200 feet, trying to make it there is fast as I can. Thanks

Not sure what to tell you?? They are all the right part numbers, and they are all compatible parts. Go to Kyoshos site and download the manuals, you will see they are the only parts offered.

Default Toe ?????????????

When I ran My Mugen, serpent and RRR there was always alittle toe out, now with this car I see there is toe in only, with the stock setup. Should I leave it that way or should I change it all? Thanks

You mean front I guess.

Default setup has a little toe out, don't know why you say it would be toe in ?

Good starting point is 1.5 degrees toe in rear and 1.5 degrees out front.

Mine is still alive and kicken' Getting ready for race this weekend. I'll let you know how compettitive the car was against the newer cars.

BTW 301, .... nice track, I saw Vincent racing at last years Winternats, supper fast driver. Nice a main although his engine gave out. He's definitely going to be a force to recon for some time.
