I do not see anything in the near future for a FW-05RRR. But things can change quickly

I heard some rumors from the owner of www.rc-union.com that there is a FW-05RRR or FW05RR Evo coming end of this year......

That hobby shop must be confused with the V-ONE-RRR EVO.

Possible, but he normally knows the difference !
He drives Kyosho himself and has close relationship to Kyosho HK.

But I see you are from Kyosho USA ?

Don't you known if we can expect new model coming up ?
The last year we saw a lot for V-one but almost nothing new for fw05.

Any plans in bringing the better hardened spur gears for the FW05 for example ? Like Kyosho already did for the V-one RRR evo.

I am absolutely positive that their will not be a FW-05RRR. I Keep very close tabs on these things. But again, things change.

That is correct, I work for Kyosho America

As far as the hard spur gears, I have not seen anything, But i will do a second check.

Meaning that Kyosho stops with shaftdriven fast cars ? Or maybe a FW06 ?

FW05 is a great car, but out for a long time now.

Guys, I need some help !

I'm lost in which springs to use for the RR :

The manual 31583B says :

Front :
Kit includes : 1.7mm-5 turns black.
Option silver 5.5 turns, black 5 turns and gold 4.5 turns.

Rear :
Kit includes : 1.7mm-6 turns black (not correct, stock is gold!)
Option silver 6.5 turns, black 6 turns and gold 5.5 turns.

This would mean that springs are different for front and rear ??
Is this the case ?? Please advice !

But if you try to find the partnumbers I got lost :

VZ073-3516 Spring Hard (gold) 3Wx1.6
VZ073-4016 Spring, medium (black) 4Wx1.6
VZ073-4516 Spring, soft (silver) 4Wx1.6
(typo on website ?? www.kyosho.de, guess that the silver is 4.5 ??)

VZ072-xxxx is only V-one RRR ??

Nothing comes close to the turns mentioned earlier in manual.

In the exploded view it gives partnumber vz073-4016 for front, and partnumber vz073-3516 for rear. If you look at options in back of manual both those spings are mentioned as rear.

I'm still driving stock setup looking at springs for more then 2 years. with two cars :-)... but would like to try the difference in making front harder, would love to have some extra turning speed, our track is very flat.

Any help is appriciated !

ps. I did try the springs from a serpent 710 (red hard), perfect fit but got many understeer after this, so those are way too hard I think.

*edit*

I did also found these new springs.. here they do mention different front and rear... but they talk about 1:10 car with 13mm shock, not specific FW05RR

Front
VZ-242-4516 Spring, soft (Hellblau)
VZ-242-4517 Spring, medium (blau)
VZ-242-4518 Spring, hard (dunkelblau)

Rear
VZ-243-4516 Spring, soft (Hellblau)
VZ-243-5017 Spring, medium (blau)
VZ-243-5518 Spring, hard (dunkelblau)

Turns are not mentioned... but seeing the partnumber they are 4.5 turns for front with different thickness and 4.5,5,5.5 turns for rear with also different thickness.
