Default Uh...My servo reversed itself...

I go to fire up my RS4 and as soon as it turns over, it just starts screaming, at like 3/4 throttle and I can't stop it. So I quickly shut it down and realize that my carb is half open at idle and when I hit the brakes, it opens more. Pulling the trigger on the transmitter applies full brakes instead of giving it gas.

I just hit the reverse button on my transmitter and now it's fine, but the button on the transmitter is under "R" so it's obviously not normal, although it now works correctly.

I also noticed that the steering switch has been on "R" on my transmitter forever I guess, and the steering was normal during all this.

Why would the servo just reverse itself?

You know what, my friend did come over today and he picked up my transmitter for a short period of time. He probably hit the damn thing.

Why would it always have been on reverse though?

Maybe it came from the factory that way. My steering was reversed when I got my first radio, and thats how I l learned to drive, everyone makes fun of the fact that my steering is "backwards". LOL

Forward and reverse for the radio is independent of the marnfacturer of car. The radio MFG doesn't know what direction the servo will need to turn. Thats why there is a switch for servo reversing. That way you can use the radio on any car.
