Default os 18tz in 4-tec?

I would like to put a os 18tz in a 4-tec but I have heard the clutch bell will not seat properly. The one I am looking at has the integrated pilot shaft. I realize that some use the 18tm which has a different crank shaft as a direct drop in for the revo, but I want the extra top end the tz may provide for the 4-tec. Any help or ideas on how to do this would be great.
Thanx

You can get a threaded shaft in the TZ series. Both .12 and .18.

Should fit fine.

I answered your question already. Ill make it in more detail.

You can get the os 18TZ in threaded shaft...thats what the 18TM shaft that you speak of has a threaded shaft , the shaft that will fit on your clutch setup.

You dont want the 18TZ with intergrated pilot shaft. Because even though you say the clutch bell wont seat properly...how bout the entire clutch assembly wont fit on it at all.

Artificial-I answered your question and you can find more info from people that actually have a 4-tec from here...
http://monster.traxxas.com

the 4-tec isnt exactly a racing kit and thats what most people in the nitro onroad section of rctech are into..

Thanks for all of the replys. I am trying to stay with the slide carb instead of the rotary. The slide carb version has the IPS, I will look at the others with a more complete threaded shaft and rotary carb to see how that will work. The IPS version of the TZ has a thread part of the shaft in the center like the original trx2.5 has. Thanx
