I see there is an new type flywheel with balls instead of sentrifugal shoes on the marked. Someone here tested it?

Mugen Sting and the BMT Pantera were also using balls. Pretty safe when on full throttle the clutch comes loose.....

ball weighted clutches

These ball weighted clutches were quite common in the past.

Picco and Kyosho had Cone weighted clutches.

Everyone else used balls (If i remember right)

Problem with them was, the balls will eject catastrophically (think 40,000 rpm + centrifugal force) if the clutches were not set exactly right, or if the bearings seize or wear out or play develops for whatever reason...

Lots of clutch fiddling required.

The current systems using angled resin weights or flat resin weights (more recent), make for a lot less fiddling...
