Congratulation to Mugen and Kyosho for the wonderful final.

It's a pity for Chris i'am disappointed for him because he ruled the competition / qualifications during the week.

6 Kyosho in final with 5 Sirio

Finally i will assemble the kit Evo on my RRR in order to see the changes, i was ready to change the frame but i still will keep my RRR Evo in 2007.

Kyosho Power

Default My Opinion

Guys, I'm an Aussie RC Drag Racer & so an impartial spectator, I feel very sorry for Chris, he dominated the week, BUT, he is not world champion. Racing is a team, not a driver, & Fukuda was THE team.
For what it's worth, these speeds were taken with a Stalker ATS, but I was only able to get there for an hour Tuesday & Thursday, until Saturday.
Tuesdays quickest I saw was 96kph (in that hour) Thursday was 94 (in that hour - lower class heat), Saturday wsa 99kph by Cyrul - 2 k's faster than anyone else, & Sunday was a 101kph, several 100kph, & a heap of 99kphs(man he seemed lean). There were about 5 cars running consistant 98 k's. If a driver was not driving straight down the straight (some vering towards the infield & then correcting), it appeared to wash a couple of k's off there speed. On TueasdayI took a heap of speeds mid corner coming onto the straight (very hard to do accurate - not like straightaway speeds), & the fast guys were 32-34kph. Some of the cars were consistently down 27-30, so power does not have as much importance as allot of people place on it.
Hope this is of interest regards Richard

Race report and photos are now posted in SGrid Online. Look for full coverage in an upcoming issue of RC Car Magazine.

It's nice when I somehow manage to get my camera in just the place I want it to be, at just the right time. I always worry if my piccys will come out the way I want, but at this race everything just fit into place. Whoever was near the top, that's who I was aiming at.

MUGEN MUGEN MUGEN

I do feel sorry for chris but it is good to see another manufacturer win the title. He had good luck all week it was just a shame for his good luck to end in the final. Well dont to Fukuda, his car looked pretty good in the semi. Would like to know what happened to Mike in the final as i wasnt there to see it, which i am not happy about but thats another matter.

It was a great event and all of the guys associated with it should feel extremly proud of there achievement and how well it was run.

I talked to Chris and he is very excited to be back part of the Kyosho team. He had a lot of confidence going in to the mains, and a lot of that was his car and Sirio power. His pit may have amde an unfortunate mistake, but he believes he is part of the best combo out there. He wants to thank Andrea, Nikaido and the rest.
