Being one of the smart guys, Toso doesn't like to change tires if possible in the race. He didn't change tires at the World's in Brasil either and got 3rd. There is always a possibility that a mistake will happen. We watched that race in Brasil and the leaders were coming back to him in the end. Except Adrien as he was in a league of his own after Josh was out.

Without quick change tires almost always something will happen. No matter how many races these top guys go to they still have not figured out how to change tires quickly.

In Brasil Toso's car was not as fast as Adrien and Josh. Now that he is the fastest he can afford to be easier and maybe not change tires again.

Toso and Swauger grew up racing gas together. Their way of going about winning is completely different.

Good Luck to them.

Good Luck to Josh and Team Orion.

Does anyone know what happened to Josh in the last 2 qualifiers?

Does anyone know what the protest from Sirio towards the CRF was actualy about? And what were the claims?

I got the feeling that Dario Balestri is going to win the IFMAR Worlds.
Go Team Magic.

Your so right about Mikey and Chris..they been racing against each other since they were kids..the best the US nationals in 1995 when Chris was 15 years old and mikey about the same. Chris won the tittle by .51 of a second and guess what he didn't change tires in the hour main.
Somethings just never change but because he can drive a car with harder tires than most he can sometimes get away with it.
This race will be interesting, maybe he will change maybe he won't, depends if he is ahead or not.
Should be a great race as I expect Josh and Mikey to get in..
Go U.S.A.

This waiting is killing me. ~ 3 hours to go and then they won't finish for 6 hours after that! Ugh!! Too bad we can't get live results when the racing starts, like we could for the U.S. Nats (LiveRC). That was the best. I am definitely buying Ray Wood's video when it comes out.

Could someone pass this on to Ray: "Start taking pre-orders and hurry things along, so we don't have to wait two months." JK! JK!

gday everyone give you an idea of weather right now here in Brisbane, overcast and about 65F or about 18c looking at the weather radar few showers heading this way ...fingers crossed they might have a dry final but forecast is showers today. It is typical that we have had a week of weird weather here when a world event is to be hosted. This week we had our coldest september day in history.
If your interested here is a link to the radar. If you look at to the left of centre at the top of the page you see a litte place called strathpine that is about where the track is.

It's unfortunate that Atomic, Ishi and Josh are in the odd 1/4th final and Swauger is in the odd semi final. Even if all four of them finish well (1/4 & semi), only 3 will make it into the Final. On the even side of the house, both Paolo and Scotty have a chance to make it into the Final.

OK, i've put up a fix for LIVE (every 10sec) race progress. Not the way I really wanted to do it, but it works and everyone should be able to keep an eye on how the race is going.
