Default IMPORTANT: IFMAR Rules & IFMAR Body List

The International Federation of Model Auto Racing has provided us with the current IFMAR Rules & The IFMAR Body List for the Pre World Championship and they have now been added to the worlds website.

They are available in the Downloads section and all competitors should read them and make sure their cars comply to the rules.

Section 5 of the IFMAR rules has the technical specifications for the 200mm cars.

Default Queensland Government Gambling Community Benefit Fund Donation

The organising committee of the 2006 IFMAR 1/10th 200mm On-Road World Championship along with the committee of the Queensland Radio Circuit Car Racing Association Inc would like to thank the Queensland Government's Gambling Community Benefit Fund for their kind donation of funds to purchase our new race control building.

Without the proud support of the Queensland Government's Gambling Community Benefit Fund projects such as these would be difficult if not impossible to undertake.

If you are coming to the Pre Worlds in February or the World Championships in September there is a hobby shop next door to the track who sell them and have them in stock. Trackside RC is their name and you can email them at [email protected] or phone them on 61-7-3889-7918

Nothing better then getting the parts or PT at their LHS, you will have the host track/HS covered and garantee they are working. But if you have to have it right now....why not ordering it from AMB themselve? (I do not know your location) So I think AMB themselve is your best answer. It is like $89 USD plus shipping...I think many LHS are selling the similar price.

Yes you can order just a single personal transponder. You can order them either from the AMB agent in your home country or purchase one from Trackside RC which is an independant hobby shop next door to the track in Brisbane. You can contact them through http://www.tracksiderc.net

Default Track Redevelopment Work

Today the curbing for the pitlane was installed. The contractor uses a machine that puts down a very dry concrete mixture. This is then covered with a concrete finishing slurry and trowelled smooth. Images of todays work can be seen in the Photo Gallery section of the worlds website.

1/8th Scale to run at the Pre Worlds

The 2006 1:8th scale Qld Championship has been re-instated as an event to be run in conjunction with the 2006 IFMAR 1/10th 200mm On Road Pre World Championship.

After consultation with AARCMCC and in light of the slightly lower and expected numbers for the 1/10th pre-worlds AARCMCC has agreed to sanction the Qld 1/8th State Championship as part of the Pre-Worlds event.

From a Host club perspective there needs to be a minium of two heats to conduct the event and competitors must be a financial member of an AARCMCC affiliated club.

Any 1/8th drivers who are interested in competing in this event MUST contact the Chairman on any of the numbers listed below as soon as possible for instructions on how to nominate. Entries will close on 31 January 2006 and NO late entries will be accepted.

If you have already nominated for the 1/10th and you intend to run both scales you will still need to contact the Chairman.

The Organising Committee regrets the late notice and confusion that has occurred over this event but in the end the best outcome was achieved. We would also like to thank Peter Ellis for reconsidering the AARCMCC decision.

Kind regards,
Doug Barber
President QRCCRA Inc, and Chairman of the Organising Committee

Default Virtual RC Track Release Imminent

Virtual RC have been hard at work putting the finishing touches to England Park Raceway with the track now in final testing.

The track and it's associated buildings etc are currently represented in VRC before any upgrades had taken place.

Keep an eye on the VRC webste over the next week or so for the release of the track and start practising for the upcoming Pre and World Championships.

We will be supplying VRC with all the updated data of the new track, pits, buildings and banners after the Pre Worlds and they will then be releasing an update to the track to bring it up to current specs in time for the World Championship in September.

The organising committee would like to thank VRC for their support of the 2006 IFMAR 1/10th 200mm On Road World Championship by including the track in their excellent simulator.
