do they make a nitro f1?

does a 1/10 or 1/8 nitro f1 or champ style car exist? i've been interested in buying an f1-style chassis but so far all i've seen are the tamiya f201's which are electric.

thanks

I have no doubt there are others out there but I cant think of any right offhand..

I think Tamiya made a nitro 1/10 F1 before but discoutinued. :o And I think Kyosho makes a nitro 1/8 F1 but also discoutined.

Serpent was working on a 1/8th F1 nitro based around their Veteq chassis. Its been a long while and no news so far so who knows when this is coming out ...
there are pictures of it on my site 3hobby.net, search in the Gallery (OK, I know the Gallery is not that friendly but the pics are in there somewhere.)

Also, a guy named Nolan Farmer used the Tamiya 1/10th EP F1 chassis and converted it to a beautiful nitro version. Again, this was over 2 years ago and since then he has been silent despite taking a pre-list of interested buyers.

similar to the setup setup systems on the market, and the cool scale just like NASCAR uses.

Tamiya never made one. It was some engineer dude that had time on his hands and took the current car when it first came out and modified it to house a FS-26c four stroke with a two-speed. It was featured in several mags and Tamiya thought about coming out with it or making a conversion kit but gave up on the idea.

OFNA use to make an Indy-style nitro car that was pretty basic and was actually pretty cool. But, sales sagged on it so much, they discontinued it. If you look hard enough, you may find one still floating around out in the market place somewhere.

That would be awesome when Serpent is able to make 1/8 F1 cars :sneaky:

How about tires ? I suggest to use present 1/8 foam tires despite unrealism to the real one. This is for easy replacement and superior grip.

Front bumper wing ( spoiler ) must be a headche for designer and us the customers
