Default New Mugen MR-12 S1?

Anybody herd anything about this engine? It's supposed to have 1.35 hp and they said it was an MT-12 with a shorter stroke

BTW, from what I have been told it is a S3 re-packaged as Mugen..... Not sure how true this is.

btw, can somebody tell me whether the RB x12 is the same as a NR rs12 or MT12, I remember reading somewhere that it's the same as a RS12.

its essentially the same design as the rs12. Mt12 is long rod design.

I think they have been coming out with different engines. Apparently the first batch has turbo engines, and they will be dropping back to standard plug engines for the next shipment. I heard they are re-badged S3's as well

I went ahead and bought the MR-12. I have 6 tanks through it so far (3 at idle and 3 driving slowly). This thing surpasses my OS TR when it's not even broken in yet. The first tank was the most difficult. The pistion kept getting stuck. I think the fit was still reallly tight. After about 4 tanks it started to get better. Any tips on breaking this beast in? About how many tanks? Thanks

Sweet sounding engine. I am curious to what the climate is in the regon you live. 1) Watch The engine temp. 2) Start leaning high end a bit. 3) I like below 180 Degree area , engine temp for first half gallon. 4) Inspect conrod afeter engine is completely broke in. Stay cool!

It's kind of cold and wet right now. I just run the car when the ground dries a bit. It's very fast. Now I have about 8 tanks through it. I had time for 9, but my glow ingniter died. I was going to pull full throttle soon (it will probably die fron being so rich). It's running 150-180 degrees. I made the low end needle a bit ritcher and it seems to cool down a bit. Any more tips? Thanks a ton guys.

Thumbs up lean it out

Sushi boy , Iam not sure about you're experiance with rear exhaust motor's but trust me when I say this but you're motor like's to run at a temp between 210-240 degrees, depending on what type of fuel you use, whatkind of plug & what kind of pipe & header, and what kind of vehicle it's in (on-road or off-road

I was recently given a new mr-12 to try out to see what I thought of it
When I took it apart to inspect it i noticed that it was copy of the original nova rossi s-1 for those who can remember what they looked like.

I then reassembled it and proceeded to break it in.
After that was done I ran it at crystal park in cali and found it to be very nice.
This was the first short stroke that I have had in almost 2 years.

I noticed that it had lots of top end power and that it was very good on the bottom end also.

I've since removed it and sent it back to dennis to work the inside a little gor that extra advantage I like to have, of course it will be completly roar legal

I only work in celcius, but from what i can gather you are loving your motor to death. Start leaning it off in small increments each tank. Don't keep running it blubbering rich, you will do damage
