Default ***MUGEN MTX2 Floating Mount** Exclusive Item

Hi MTX-2 guys,

Finally installed the floating mount on my MTX-2, here are the pictures:

I tested this verion on my car on saturday, it works really really good! and it is much lighter then the first verion I have on my car previously.

With this floating mount I can full throttle on the whole straight away without letting go of the throttle all the way through the sweeper! and that felt really really great! he he

Please check out For Sale Forum for details

Enjoy

That looks nice , but we can't run lola or can-am type bodies, i mean we are running what is called touring cars, yes? Food for thought

Ah10, I notice that you don't have faith in the for sale forum's ability to attract as many customers as you want .

Ah10-

I know the question I am about to ask you does not theoretically pertain to your thread here, and I give you my deepest apoligies if I am going to far off track, but would it be possible for you to design a similar unit for a Trinity Reflex NT?

From looking at the pictures of the impeccable work you done I can see you have a divine talent in machining, so I ask if you can make a Floating Rear Body Mount for a Trinity Reflex NT.

I know the V-One RR has a Flotaing Rear Body Mount that could be adaptable to the Reflex, but it is incredibly hard to find all of the parts and hardware needed. Kyosho does not have part numbers on the screws and hardware so finding all the necessary pieces would be literally impossible. Basically the only way to do the conversion is to buy a V-One RR, and that quite honestly would be irrational (I own 2 Reflex NT's).

If you could make such a unit, I WILL buy it. I have been wanting a Floating Rear Body Mount for my Reflex for ages now. I run nitro touring and use 200 mm touring car bodies.

Is it possible that you can do this? If so e-mail me. If you can I will buy it.

Default Me too!!!

We have 2 Reflex N/T's (another one soon) and would be interested in the floating mount if it could be adapted to sedan bodies.

Yet I dont see anybody complaining about people using Saleen S7's, MB CLK's, Vette's, etc.. Again, food for thought

Well at least those have doors (no matter how funky the doors are. i.e. gullwing)

I don't use them b/c bobby says we can't. If we could, I probably would, but I wonder why exactly we can run a CLK GTR while not a CanAm? I guess he likes his GTR bodies too much.
My major gripe about CanAm bodies is that I don't think they look very nice. They are so... boxy. I don't know, I just don't like them, but major race event's don't allow two-door or CanAm type bodies and that is what I was reffering to b/c I have heard of few people using those bodies in other places besides in Hawaii.

I also don't like the fact that many of these cars are turning into 235mm 1/10 scale on road cars. I would just like to keep the classes at least distinguishly different. Just my pet peeve.

One good thing about club racing is that you can bend the rules a little. Besides, im sure all of like to pretend that we pilot a Saleen or a Vette instead of that Stratus or Civic thats sitting in our driveway.

I agree with you that "Can Am" bodies look boxy and ugly BUT the majority of the people who use them are'nt concerned about looks, they use them for performance. Just look at the 1/8 class., "Can Am" style bodies were the only bodies available until recently yet people still prefer them over the current crop of newer "GTP""Cockpit" style bodies simply because they work better.

Concerning the 235mm class, the fact that we don't(or can't) run 235mm or 1/8 class is all the better reason to have a "Outlaw Mod" class. Nothing is ever fast enough.

I see your point, but I have a feeling many people want the outlaw class as an official ROAR class, the way that 235mm 1/10th scale has the 4wd open class as well. To that, I think we should hold off, until 235mm 1/10 dies out (its starting). That's just my opinion. I'm thinking of national races and your thinking about club races, it seems.

The reason I mentioned club racing is because the majority of people who do race do so at the club level. I dont think we will see any of our fellow racers attending a national event any time soon.

I would'nt worry too much about what happens at the big national races. I mean, just because ROAR adopts a certain class doesnt mean we have to adopt it also. If you really want to go all out on ROAR rules, then it would'nt be fun anymore(that why we're in this hobby for right?). Imagine checking for window cutout size, body legality, weight, pipe length, stinger size, tank capacity, fuel line length, engine tear downs after winning a race, and so on and so forth.
