if your ride height is 5mm when you lift the car up the wheels will lift off the bench at 7mm height which is = to 0 droop or 2mm up travel

So who's G4 drivers going to Australia for WC? Or any of you Australian G4 driver racing at the Worlds? If I need parts there, is it very well supported?

there will be at least 2 drivers from sydney going and im sure zoom will have a spot too, as for parts, your best bet would be to check out the brendale thread or threads relating to the worlds on the australian racing forums. some one will be able to help you with any info you need
cheers

I didn't get a spot for the worlds. I'll check with our importer to see if he's going and see what spares he's taking.

I have a quick question, I need the shock ball ends for the Mongoose (G4S uses the same part).

it is part number 115022, I have tried using regular ball ends and cutting off about 2mm of them so it simulates the round off part on the regular g4 ball end but it doesnt work well, I went to raceday and ace hardware but niether have that part.

I think the Crash perimeter kit has them but I don't want to spend $47 just to get ball ends right now

My post #1246 notes that the shock ends and spring cups from Tamiya TL-01 and possibly others that use the plastic shocks work as acceptable substitutes on the G4s. Remember to use the brass balls in the arms as the TM balls are a little smaller.

Hopefully the shock ball ends will soon be available from the distributors.

The spots are allocated based on the results over the last 2 years in sanctioned events. Since I was still racing pull start in 2004 and didn't do much good in 2005 (or until I got my G4S really!!) then I was outside the rankings.

Even if I got an invite I probably wouldn't have had the budget to make it this year.

I'm still trying to do a deal for a few bucks to help get me to Adelaide for the Nationals!

The part number is 115024 - (shortthreaded ball and ball cup) that is in stock at Raceday Hobbies and our Distributor. I have them in stock to ship at anytime. 115022 is not stocked by our distributor.

Thanks
Sam

we will be ordering shock ball ends shortly. For the physical shock. It is a small Item we overlooked in the past.

Bimmer driver. In your case we shipped some shock ball ends to your dealer over a week and a half ago specifically for you so i don't know what the problem is.

cool, so is it worth waiting on those shock ends, are we looking at weeks before they are available or longer? or should I look for something else?

cause they are so unique its a hard part to duplicate, and not having the same exact length for the shock end tosses the shock measurements off.
