I also know there is a g4s upgrade somewhere out there on the net but is the mongoose compatible with either of these two are am i going to have to just settle for buying loads of little option parts
I think that's too big a step from Mongoose to EVO+ WC

Bulkheads, steering, sways transmission, all changed in in that period

If your interested, I have a n old G4 08 and many parts that has many hop ups I have for sale for $50. plus post. Compatible with the mongoose chassis plate

Or...

There's an G4+ EVO WC 08 here, make me an offer.

I have two too many team magics here now.

Hi all, just need to know about the quality of parts like plastics and alu of Team Magic cars. Thinking to switch to Team Magic 190mm and 200 mm for this year.
Thanks!

If precision and quality of parts is all you want to know, TM and KFactory are up their with the best imho. If you are looking at the RTRs then the sundry items like screws etc are poor and thier ball joints are ordinary. In the EVO and RS spec, you get the good stuff. Whether anyone will supply is another question you best ask.

No problems with the quality of Team Magic or KFactory. In the years of running a G4 i stripped a few gears, can't say i ever snapped a belt. I cracked a flying wing arm during a build, but was user error!

Quality is up there....

The G4RS 2009 everything is done on the cheap to make to kit as cheap as possible. KFactory have alot of parts to make it a better product at the end of the day. And when you compare this to other brands they come with these extras standard, but also alot of difference in the price too.

Hope this is helpful and all the best as TM driver

Andrew

Hello

Your G4JR is a good starting out car, but unfortunately Team Magic never built it with quality in mind. They took quite a few short cut with price in mind, i would highly recommend getting the G4RS 2009 with some Kfactory parts. You will have a lot more adjustments etc and no more issues with belts rubbing on the battery or receiver issues.

I know a lot of people have been disappointed with the 2009 because its not bling city out of the box, but if you look past this and with a few additional Kfactory parts you have a great car with a lot of potential.

Thank You

How can buying another car & getting kfactory parts on top be any better then sticking with my g4js and just buying better kfactory & team magic parts for my current car?

I think if i buy WC upgrade i will have the same adjustments you speak off!

Thanxs

Mr Poo..

Your G4 is a EVO 2008 Spec car, and yes you are correct that it's not worth going to the 2009.

But it's also not worth spending too much on the JR hopping up when you could for 100USD grab a G4+ EVO if you shop around, This would be cheaper than individually buying parts and you would get another clutch and screws, RED KFactory bearing and the car in hop up parts would be worth several hundred.

As Ive said before, there's a EVO here in immaculate condition. Make me an offer. It has the full WC upgrade on it plus bearings, clutch etc.

PS: I have the G4+ original and it's not for sale, so it's not like Im trying to offload, as I'd use the EVO for parts and save me the money.

Hey Dude

Stick with it... I was watching one of the guys from my old work playing with a new G4JR i sold him. He was having a ball doing donuts and just driving around the car park with it, $$$'s just take all the fun out of it now that i look back!

Take Care
Andrew

Because on your current car you only have roll center adjustment on the top at the front and rear, unless you get the WCE upgrade or a G4+ Evo that Blis was talking about.

The G4RS 2009 has all this and a better radio tray layout then previous models. The sad part is no runs either series g4 by the looks anymore

G4, Can you tell how you like your G4RS? I'm thinking of getting one to replace my JR when the time comes.

Hello,

I have one question...

Will the 2ng gear spur (46T) from the G4RS fit the G4S? Its different ref. but seems that it will fit.

Just be sure the gear pitch is the same. Many of the newer gears for cars like Mugen and Kyosho have a .8 gear pitch that is finer. The original G4 had parts that were similar to the Kyosho. Chances are if Kyosho went with the finer pitch on its newer cars so did Team Magic as well.
