Andrew I think there's going to be very little difference as from what I saw, the mongoose is using the new hubs, the newer front brace etc.

I'd decide whether to use the ED transmission from the LE in the mongoose with the vented brakes and steal the RED KF bearings from the LE as well as they are very good.

The EVO rear end will cause you grief as it's using different bulkheads, hence if you smahed up the plate, you've got the parts short of the bulkheads.

I have spare chassis plates etc.. wanna give me a call and have a chat?

Oldskool325:

Your right about the rear belt, Team Magic have a belt tensioner available, but is only for the G4RS chassis and is screwed underneath onto the chassis itself.

The G4RS chassis is #502319
Rear Belt Tensioner is #502266-1

And then you can move everything from your G4JS onto the G4RS Chassis.

Hope this helps
Andrew

I have not seen a JS in person but will the old G4 top mounted belt tensioner work? Just an idea.

Oldskool:

As Qcrc has mentioned KFactory use to have a rear belt tensioner that screws onto the carbon fiber brack bracket, but i believe this has been discontinued now.

I need the same part for my Project Mongoose 2011 as the belt flaps in the wind so to speak.

Another option might be to try a KFactory Competition Low Friction Rear Belt as it isn't a rubber belt and looks tighter then the rubber ones. I haven't tried this either and don't have a part number as i am work!

I will post part numbers when i get home...

Hope this is helpful

Oldskool:

This is a pulley for a rear ball diff instead of the standard gear diff. So no i wouldn't go down this path...
