Looking for offers on the G4 Mongoose, with starter box. I'll take any reasonable offer on the four engines.

Yes, remove the rubber spacers and you will find 1 to 2mm space.

I dont know anyone who uses the rubber vibration insulators, leave em out.

I never use to use those rubber grommets, but found that the screws would damage the plastic tabs on the servos. So i try and use them as much as possible to extend the life of the servos if i can...

We used to love our g4 and G4RSs, and we thought that they were awesome; but the truth is probably that you'd be better off with a later model car now. We have changed, and we're not looking back; but you could perhaps still be competitive in one if you're good enough.

Kindest regards,
Lars.

[SIZE="3"][COLOR="Blue"]A hopped-up G-4 Mongoose is still a very good race car. I have had 200mm sedans since the HPI RS4, then on to the NTC3. When I signed up with Trinity to race the Team Reflex car, I thought it was the best car on earth. Then the G-4 showed up, Damn,it blew them away. I still have parts boxes of spares for the RS4, and the NTC3. The G-4 Mongoose is a KILLER 200mm sedan with the right set-up, and engine. I have retired from racing 200mm sedans, and have my car up for sale, at a VERY nice price . The Picco XP-R .12, tuned pipe, servos, hop-ups, spare parts, NEW Ofna starting box, and NEW foam tires are worth $1,400.00. I am willing to sell it, for less than the price of a new kit chassis. I live in S Florida and some of my friends have opened an IN-DOOR, off-road, short course track, that is air-conditioned, SWEET, and I can leave my gear in a locker. That is much better than having to pull a trailer behind my truck, and race all over the country in very crummy HOT WEATHER conditions. If you are wanting a 200mm sedan, email me for the deal of your life.SIZE]

Dont have those brass inserts. Only the rubber ones, and when i removed them the servo fit. It didnt when i had them on.
But what negative effect comes with not having them mounted?
