to add to what revo just said, the swaybars from the rs are listed as compatible with all g4 models on the kfactory website.

you can add that sway bar only if you have the new rear bulk heads with the flying wing arms.. the rear of my g4s is like the g4+ / rs... if you're gonna get one (butterfly style)try to get the older one for the g4+ cause the one for the rs with the e clips gets sloppy..

cyrrus IMO it's not worth it the rtr

the current batches of RS come with the + sway bar; they did away with the older RS sway bar.

Or should just look for a used g4s online and get a used engine. I have tons of time. just trying to get some info .

For getting into racing quick and kinda affordable the RTR is a good way to go. The kit engine isn't exactly a Novarossi but it is SG shaft, rear exhaust, and 2.49cc. It's the best RTR for under $300 IMO plus since it's a G4 that means alot of other G4 hop ups can fit it.

However every car has it's quirks and after you're done dealing with the RTR's quirks you might start wondering why you didn't just get the used (fill in the blank) racing car in the 1st place.

That always leads to the used vs new debate. On one hand you can get something that would normally go for a whole lot more albeit used and possibly abused. On the other hand you can get something virgin, that supposedly won't give you any headaches, and you can learn on and with. (You will have headaches w/ the RTR though, think steering servos!)

Know what you want out of your car though. If you plan on driving on the street more often than on the track I suggest the Kyosho Fw05/6 since it's shaft driven and only takes some parts to turn it into RR status. Belt cars get abused badly for street and parking lot bashing.

Just a quick poll: How many of you run a split between your front and rear tyres and how many run the same all round? And if you do run a split then how much usually?

Depends on the length of the race - usually 1 - 1.5 mm split

If you have a car with the ED transmission, the RS or the Plus Evo . You have to run at least a 1.6mm split front to rear. This is because the IDR is different front to rear.
I usually run 2mm at the start of a final.
If you run a spool at the front. It's very important that this split is maintained otherwize it puts a tremendous strain on the front belt.

British Menace

Split is the difference in diameter between the front and rear tyres. So if your front tyres are 60mm and your rears are say 62mm then you would have a 2mm split.

British menace: I know what you mean my tyre wear is disgusting and when the rears get roughly the same size as the fronts the car is a totally different car to drive compared to when i started off with a 2mm split. And my front belt looks stretched a little bit
