Yeah mate that's the one The older models like the mongoose had the battery located where your receiver sits now, in between the fuel tank and the motor and used a 3 cell on the bottom and two cell on the top arrangement. Sought of like a mini hump pack

Here are some pics of my project build. It's a cross between a G4s/G4rs/G4+. I have my first race meet with it this weekend and i can't wait i'm so excited with it.

Some features include:
- Light weight foam bumper
- K factory light weight spool
- Front speed shot system
- ZF belts
- LX shocks
- Alloy steering servo horn
- Hitec digital servo (steering)
- L-SE digital servo (throttle)
- O.S 12tz 5 port with a team titan vector modified cooling head
- VXR-X1 pipe
- K factory real racing brake pads and vented brake disc
- K factory alloy brake lever
- 4mm G4+ numbered chassis
- Front cvd's
- Flash pit rear hubs and links
- Old G4s front knuckles and radio tray (just had to make my own front fuel tank mount)
- K factory rear roll bar and new rear bulkheads
- Bigger capacity 11oomah battery pack
- ED transmission with all alloy pulleys
- Spektrum dx3.0 tx/rx

And after hearing everyones issues with glitching due to the receiver being to close to the motor i put a piece of 5mm heat resistant perspex covering the receiver so hopefully i will get no glitching.

Enjoy.

Thanks mate. I'm not going out to win instead i have set a goal to just go out and get to know the car and how it drives and try to get it set up right and then go from there

Sounds good.
If you would like any help, advice or even set-ups to try. Please feel free to ask.
I'm not going to just thrust set-ups at you cause I know, given the time, it's much more enjoyable to find out about the car yourself and get the car to do what you want it to do yourself.

I've ran the G4 for 7 years now. Through all the evolutions and have a good knowledge of the car.
I myself am still running an upgraded G4S. With parts from the + and the RS.

Just one point here. I really like the look of the new K Factory shocks that have been developed for the G4Plus EVO. They look like an improvement.

Is your track a smooth track?

All the best. And let us know what you find out with the car and your progress ;-)

Factory Assembled ???

Why on earth would they sell it that way?
You know you've got to take it all apart to check everything out and also, it takes away a huge fun part of the whole hobby too.

A full race car factory assembled is ridiculous. I think most racers want to build their own cars.

it's using the same ED with plastic pulleys like the RS...

personally i would like to build and setup a new kit myself. at times i'll assemble it according to what i wanted/needed; somewhat different from what the factory would do.

Looks like it - just ask my son Brendan what he thinks about these C clips...

"Brendan Clips" we call them

That is 1 thing TM has let themselves down with....such a pain to access and it could all be solved with just a single 3mm hole

use the 2 speed shaft fromt he G4+, use the 19t alloy outside pulley and then its the screw retainer and the alloy washer on the spur end. this was my car with the stood up throttle servo and lipo for SA earlier in the year, worked well, if i didnt crash, drop a lap, and break a clutch shoe
