can anyone help me with the shocks on the g4+. I put them together like the manual said and they are way taller than they are supposed to be. my ride hight is around 10 mm! I can't figure out how to bring it down.

sorry, I should have mentioned that my shock length when assembled is a little longer than 2.5 inches. i've tried adjusting the collars all the way down and it only takes it down to about 2.4 inches.

Only way to make your car to have 10mm ride height even you have dialed the collet all the way down is you are using the wrong spring (longer springs)...are you using the TM G4 springs..? Or others like serpent or whatever..? Or you have the spring collet installed the wrong side? Or mounting the shocks at the wrong holes?

I am not 100%, and I don't have G4+, only have G4RS. I have the TM springs sets and I have not try using other brand springs...but on my E4 car...their springs are 1/4" shorter then the typical TC car's spring like AE or Xray...so, check that.

10mm ride height is crazy...LOL

all I can recommend is to strip everything and rebuild, double check everything as its probably a simple mistake in building
cheers

Post a pic and we could identify a problem.
The adjuster on the shock could be upside down and are you using teh original spring seat and ball end ???

Both Nova EFRA 2630 and Shark EFRA2625 are very good........ hard to tell which one performance is better.... however I have these pipes.

One thing I am sure, shark pipe is much stronger and durable than Nova. Of course if you driving technique is good and never hit the wall, using Nova would not have problem.
Interesting !!
Ill look into that.

at teh moment i use the Skyline VR12+ and i have the 2601 as a back up and they always run great.
I tried the TeamMagic Missile pipe and it was a real disspointment although it is a good looking and strong pipe.

The missile is a great looking pipe, i've only tried the 6mm version but wasn't good enough at the time to notice any difference in power delivery.

I've heard a lot of other people, like yourself, don't like the missile pipes but just wondering if anyone has tried the 5mm.

Default rear lifted up

hi guys,
just checking is it possible that my car's rear lifted up by itself when i race down the straights? (towards 3/4 of the length).

i seems to have noticed that my rear lifted up slightly; maybe when i let off the gas?

any issues here?

could it be a rear spoiler issue, the only thing I could think of is that your rear wing could have a slight upward angle maybe its angle has changed caused by a crash?
cheers

Check your diff outdrives - could be notched and binding up your suspension under power

I had my fun trying to dial in the suspension on my G4+.

1) Bought the softer srpings the ones that come with G4+ 1.7 etc are too hard for my liking, and I get no dropp using these srpings. The car just sits ontop of them

2) Bleed the g4+ shock with shock shaft all the way up and do not overtighten the cap or the shock will lock up on you.

3) Using a lower roll center and angled my shocks out to form a longer hypoteneuse.

4) Check your roll bars and ball joints, ensure they arent sticky. All my joints were too tight and I had to ream them out to loosen up my suspension

Cheers.

Default Differences between G4+ and g5RS

1) G4+ Chassis plate is 4mm lightened, not 3mm and stiffer
2) Transmission axle uses a screw, not C clip (love it)
3) Brake disc and hub are upgraded. Does not use the two prong hub rather a chamfered barrel for the disc mounting.
4) Full Carbon fibre front top plate and alloy plate with G4+ logo
5) Composite stiffening brackets both sides
6) Full JAP raced bearings
7) Carbon top plate stiffener
8) G4+ shocks, not the standard.
9) G4+ has Different fuel tank and Handle
10) Hex screws all round. (Unsure if RS is wood screws
11) Oneway lockable front spool
12) Its sexier!!!

Add the WC nulkhead kit to a g4+ and you will hopped up to the max with KFacroy. Short of composite ball joints and a few other minor upgrades, g5+ with WC kit is probably the best TM setup available.

Cheers.
