Team magic make a good set of shocks, though unfortunately i don't remember the p/n. They are all alluminium and were the easiest of shocks to build and get equal rebound. The pre-load adjuster is the smoothest i have ever felt on any car. They don't leak like the stock ones do and are so strong even i can't break them (and that say's alot)

what are the odds?...

I disagree that they need a total new structure, the car is still very competitive ( look at the lap times )..... more like a "re-focus" - flying wing arms need a re-design, spur gears don't mesh properly etc etc....

Let's wait and see if Barry Baker gets to make some changes ! ( I bet he'll be suggesting a few!)

Just my opinion

Hi Luis

Speaking of fragile... I just finished reading your G4RS review in "Racing Lines"
and it didn't mention fragile at all

I actually had a flying wing front arm crack during the build on my G4+! Patto will tell you it is because i am too heavy handed, but they just don't make things like they use too.

I've broken 3 fronts in total since November last year - big crashes ( but that is across 2 cars , Brendan did 2 in one meeting )

At the time of the review ( j/k) I hadn't broken one

I have seen some that look like they've had a trapped air bubble in the plastic, which makes them weak...

Still, it's a $4 part...

I like how the LX shocks have bleed holes on their caps so I can set rebound strengths for all 4 equally fairly easily . I just wish the damping is externally adjustable like the Xray ones though .

more parts internally mean more can go wrong. there int anything wrong with the LX shocks. they are great shocks.

Hehehehehehe... All good!

Ari from HEI actually replaced mine under warranty. He was very professional to deal with and it wasn't good news when i heard he had lost the rights to TM here in Australia.

Luis are you racing at the nationals at Brendale?

Yep, we felt the same way , and are still very thankful for HEI's help -

so far, Brad (the new importer ) from Zauber has been pretty good to deal with.

Hi Keavze, Have you got a part number or better yet a photo of those 'new 30mm thinner shoes'??? I have an Eagle racing G4 and the throw weights that fit the flywheel are a lot thinner than the throw weights in my G4s and i can't find them anywhere. I'm hoping the ones your talking about might fit. For your clutch slipping maybe try tightening the clutch spring just a tad bit and then see how you go and tune from there.

my problem: clutch slipping when throttling up to 50%, from 50% onwards, it's ok, no slippage.

spring tension is minimum (spring nut flush with flywheel nut) and clutch gap is 0.4mm.

so...what's my solution? reduce clutch gap further?

btw, can i use UFO1 clutch shoe in UFO2? and how about the 'new 30mm thinner shoe'?
