yep! I would have to agree my track is medium to low grip and setting the car up so its not so stiff really made a difference, I am now running lap times faster than anyone else, the car just holds so well although shiny aluminium would look flash! can you get the chassis as a sepaerate part??
cheers

the G4RS was a step in the right direction once again. know i feel any flex or roll with the new alloy bulkheads, are a step backwards. if these parts were made in plastic, then it would be much better.

I think RedRC already mentioned DARIO is using his last year G4+ for the world...in the racer/manufactory stand point, as long as his driver WINS the race, what year model does not matter...

Beside, G4+ and G4RS, very similar in design...

Yes. As 'Patto' has said the screw at the end of the two speed shaft comes from the ED trans' which came on the G4+ and as an upgrade too.

Good to see Barry, Dario and Marc able to make the G4 go so well in Portugal. I think with a little more luck, it could have been so much different!

On the WC stuff....... I do like the chassis and the rear parts. I think the front parts are somewhat.......cosmetic?!

Menace,

Do you know the part number(s) for the screw at the end of the two speed?

Thanks!

I believe the screw size is 3 X 8 (mm) Button Head screw.

You may find going to the local DIY store you will be able to get a dozen screws for alot less then if you got the exact part number.

Although. If you still have problems getting the screws you need. Go to
www.tonysscrews.com
he has all the screws you need. And good ones too. He even does a screw kit for the G4 which gives you "EVERYTHING" !!

If you still want to get the TM screws. You will need to get a screw pack which TM does. Can be tough to find.

British Menace

Brother, Peter said those are G4RS base plus G4+ options plus WC kit.

Default clutch slipping...

hi,
just started trying out the Mugen hard spring with no weights in the flyouts.

my problem: clutch slipping when throttling up to 50%, from 50% onwards, it's ok, no slippage.

spring tension is minimum (spring nut flush with flywheel nut) and clutch gap is 0.4mm.

so...what's my solution? reduce clutch gap further?

btw, can i use UFO1 clutch shoe in UFO2? and how about the 'new 30mm thinner shoe'?

Try putting 1 weight in each flyout....same settings as you are running now

now your clutch has slippage....... hows the wheel spin ?
from here it is fine tuning your clutch.

hi patto and sp,

initially i'm using TM 1.8 yellow with all weights, 0.4mm gap.
now it's mugen spring with no weights, 0.4mm gap.

maybe i shld try with 1 weight as sp suggested.
another thing came to my mind, how to know when yr clutch shoe is wornout and not usable anymore? will that cause slippage too?

you will find the alloy reatainer will touch the clutch bell when the shoe is worn out. then it will be either on or off. the bell will be shiny.
if using the UFO 2, they tried to get more life with the raised bit under side of the shoe. but if your replacing, i would go the red shoe. as i stated befoer i used no weights, but with the TM black spring. so the mugen will be different again. so do try one weight in each shoe, as SP ( Lui Lui........... 0..... yeah ) suggested.

thanks patto...

btw, UFO1 and UFO2 diff are only the shoe plate and shoe; other than having a 'longer' shoe life; any other benefits of UFO2?

Keavze id also suggest going with 1 weight.
My setup is mugen hard spring 1 weight in flyweights
std black flyweights with black shoe
.5mm clutch gap
.1mm end play

Pity for Dario Ballestri in teh WC finalls.
He had a accident and damaged the car to have it repaired and then after 50 laps have a accident and retire.
Have to wait 2 year again for another try in the US.
