Your car looks very similar to my Eagle Racing G4 team kit. Does your receiver sit on the side in between the throttle servo and the clutch bell? And the battery sits in the middle under the handle? Only thing though mine didn't have the blue chassis.

Also, some phycological stuff always goes on when pricing stuff that isn't even out yet.

Say it's going to be $100............ people say too much.

Then sell it for $60 and everyone thinks they got a good deal.

Say the part is $50, $60 or even $65 then bring it out and try selling the same part for $60 then.............. you'd never sell any or at least not as many!

Just my thoughts.

British Menace
yes
if its $100 bucks its too much
if its $50 bucks its to cheap and whats wrong with it

Rick Vessell (Jonnysocko) and his Team Magic G4RS took the A-main 4th place finish on the just finished 2008 Great Lake Challenge @ Toledo Ohio....job well done Rick

Once he is back, I will see I can get his setup sheet and share with those who will compete @ the upcoming MWS #5 leg/Roar Region 5 Championship race...and the last leg of MWS at the same track - 1/8th Raceway @ Toledo that hosted this year GLC....

From what he told me...somehow, DIFF work the best unless you want alot of finger exercise for 45 minutes and drive with the spool.

P.S....BM and Chris, I do receive your email and I will wait untill Rick is back before sending this list over. I will make sure you guys get what you need before the Region 5/MWS race....

Default suspension issues

hi guys,
a couple of pages back, BM was toying with springs and shock oils...

just wondering what's the usual/normal shock oil rating that you guys were using?

somehow i believe that the effects are similar if we use:
soft springs + hard oil = hard springs + soft oil?

Thanks for the congrats Howard. I am catching up at work from last week so I'll try to have a set up sheet done by Fri. A front diff did work better, it made the car very easy to drive and helped corner entry. My clutch spring did fade though so after the first 10 mins. the car was very slow off the corners. I'm going to try an Orion spring next time out.

If your country have Team Magic Distributor/Dealer, they would not do your business and you have to contact with the loacl distributor/dealer.

try the MUGEN spring, super hard, it works great, but remember to take out the tension of the spring if you will not use it.
a good tip is to use a new spring for qualys and a new spring for the finals.

have fun

Quick question about updating to the latest specs...

I currently have a G4 Evo2 (Mongoose), and I'm wanting to update the car to more recent specs. I only race nitro touring on occasion compared to electric, so I don't really feel like buying a whole new kit for $300-400. So far my list up "to-do" upgrades are:

1.) ED Transmission (possibly use the plastic pulleys off of the RS ($8) instead of buying the entire KFactory set of aluminum pulleys for ~$100 if possible?)
2.) Single bellcrank steering from the G4S and newer cars
3.) Possibly upgrade to the UFO or UFO2 clutch since I'm missing my clutch shoes and weights. Are the UFO clutches THAT much better than the regular 30mm centax that came on the Mongoose? I always seemed to have a problem with the clutch weights on the 30mm centax. They never wanted to fully retract all the way back down into the "dished" area of the flywheel.
4.) Flying wing a-arms were another thought, but they look like they would be more brittle than the older arms??

Any thoughts on if I'm going in the right direction with getting the most out of what I have, or am I wasting my time? I assume that those changes are the most dramatic when it comes to handling and performance. I know the RS has a shorter and narrower chassis, and the speedshot front end is nice, but I don't mind wrenching on my cars, so easy diff access isn't worth $100 to me.

The Mugen super hard clutch spring works like a charm
Alternative is a JP hard clutch spring.
