I have the speed shot front end, new g4 rear bulkheads + the new sway bar that i still have to install on the regular rear s arms. I'm going to have to use longer links and make my own holes on the arms. I also ordered the new brake bracket as the old one interfered with the roll bar.
I was thinking on getting the rs parts but was not sure i could swap rear end for rear end.
I do not have the ed transmission but the original g4s one.
I'll look for your post with the parts.

I am building the G4RS right now, and all I can say is that the build quality is stunning. Everything just....fits. So far, whenever I had trouble assembling something, it was ME who was doing something wrong.

This is Patto's post from the G4S thread #8844

"ok here we go, i hope to not miss anything out.
Front parts to use with G4S
K14124-6 nylon speedshot Top brace
K14124-4 carbon shock tower
K14124-5 inserts for roll center adjustment
K14138 front upper hinge pins
K14124-1 speedshot bulkheads
502341 plastic G4JS X brace

rear parts
502327 G4RS top arm links
502328 G4RS top shock tower brace
502329 G4RS rear shock tower

these parts will transfor the G4S suspension to the RS components. Charles, you can use the existing G4S chassis and roll bars and rear bulkheads, while retaining the same stronger G4S arms. the only thing you will loose on the rear is some leverage of the span between the rear lower flying arms compared to the original G4S arms. the distance from hinge pin to shock position on the arm is longer on the flying arms. but i would trade strength for leverage any day. im actually trying to chase down a G4S at the moment so i can make it with the parts listed above.
if you want to use the new rear swaybar and the flying arms, you will then need to get the arms of course and rear lower hinge pins and the new rear bulkheads. but id stick with the older arms for sure."

I just calculated the price of the parts i would need for the rear end and it comes out to 95$.
The G4js is 219$ and i already have the sway bar + the rear brake bracket here. Mmmmmmm, Some thinking to do ........

Hi Paul,

The idea behind the g4js was to swap the rear end of the js on my g4s, take the ed transmission from the js and put it on the g4s, and i would have some spare parts such as belts, clutch parts, etc.... I was up to 95$ just for rear end parts and that's without pullies nor the ed clutch gears. I'm still thinking about it.
Either that or i'll wait in the new year and get the rs.

Most of the time, NEWER is always better.........I never own the + so I cannot tell, but I know my RS is dialed after 2 practice run and 2 big races.

This is the thing I would like to do right after the Byron race....it is 100 times better then the original setup, and I am sure my cornering will be alot faster this time. The best part....cost like then $10 to do that....(wondering why TM does not want to do this the beginning...). I will be heading to Racine for the 4th leg of the Mid West Series....this time I feel more comfortable then the Chicago Leg with my Serpent 720.

I know Jonnysocko had his own version done for the upcoming Great Lake Challenge plus other modification, I will post pictures of his version after the GLC....good luck there Socko.

Also, good luck to the Iowa gang @ the "Heat of America" event...bring home the GOLD...

+ is nicer to look at and stiffer with more alum parts...better for high traction tracks...

RS has abit more flex/roll due to plastic parts used and better in low traction tracks.

if you're buying new...go for the RS!

you can always 'hopup' to the + parts if needed. RS has the latest narrower chassis.

you're talking about the extended 'braking arm' or the 'shielded rx'?
