Default G4+ / G4RS

Hi Guys,
just got the new G4RS chassis and rear end bits. so here is a comparison in some of the bits i got.
G4+ 4mm chassis - 130 grams G4RS Chassis - 104 grams
rear bulkhead bracket (shock tower bracket) G4+ - 15 grams G4RS - 6 grams
back plate both 8 grams. so there is 35 grams shaving so far on just the chassis and bulkhead bracket. one thing i have noticed, is the back plate has gone away from the 2 holes for the rear lower hinge pin, just the inner hinge pin location now, which is what most use anyway. and the hinge pins need to be shortened by 2.5mm for the rear bracket to locate on the bulkheads. thats all i have got so far, ill keep posting as i find other things of interest.

Default G4+ to G4RS

have finished the conversion. i just have to shorten the rear lower hinge pins. they are in place and the back plate screwed as much as i safely can. no real problems at all, everything fitted up nice as you expect from TM .
i dont have my LiPo setup in the car, so i have std battery pack. LiPo saves around 25-30grams. i have big tires on the car, new in packet, fronts trued for 2mm split. i have weighed the car ready to race, full of fuel. the car weighs in at 1735 grams. low fuel, small tires and lipo, id guess at around 1690, which i think was close to Gansei's weigh in .
so now to add weight. around 30 grams maybe. so British Menace, i can now play around with what your also doing. so G4RS conversion, i cant wait to test it out next month .

Hi Paul,
so where did you pick up your g4rs conversion parts from? and did you find that the G4+ was a better car than an G4s with all the parts upgraded with Kfactory if so what did you find was better?
cheers

the G4+ is a very different car from a std G4S. if i had my way id have 2 cars. one G4+ for high traction tracks, and the std G4S with an Ed trans and speedshot front end for lower traction tracks. so to be absolutly honest, the G4S with these 2 upgrades is the better all round car. i will see how the new conversion pans out, but it looks promising at the moment. ill let you know in a few weeks how it goes.

Paul!

#1 - the car feels "lighter" on the track - accelerates hard, changes direction
quick
#2 - it has got so much steering
#3 - UFO 2 - I Like !
#4 - the gear ratios all wrong - too tall ( although my LRP Spec 4 had no probs
pulling the tall gears)
#5 - car is very responsive to even the smallest setup change (a good thing )
#6 - the rear sway bar supplied is crap - end of story. we snapped the pin across the little
groove that has been cut to fit the circlip....no crash!

Nice juke box Gansei - you'll be able to get that Milli Vanilli pumping out on the race track ! hehe!

Jeez Gansei, your pitbox look more like an electric driver one!

Awesome jukebox though ... THAT'S what RC is about, the fun factor!

That would then make your pitbox one the best in the world!
