The most important upgrade besides the steering bellcrank set-up that I have yet to hear about is the material of the spur gears... Will the S-class plastic material make it's way in the G4S??? If so... That's the one part that held the Mongoose back... The material was way to weak... Let's hope TM and K-Kactory took along look at this was well.

RC_ALAN ... WEAK MATERIAL !? ... i used my stock spurs for about 10 races and 20 practice sessions before changing them, and i changed them not for wear problems, but for tuning for other tracks outside my country

I believe your EVO II didn't come with the S-class gears... Your stock gears will work just fine...

goosein LV... I believe you don't run the same gear split I use to run... 19/51 1st gear 25/47-46 2nd with the S-class gears... This is a known issue and Team Magic is aware of the problem... This has been brought up before and the material was to have upgraded almost a 8 months ago....

EvoII's were S class as were Mongooses. if you read the details of my post carefully and look at the prototype you will see black second gear spurs. The one piece helps a ton with second gear issues even with the grey material .

Since you didn't mention it in your post... I'm not one to guess... Yes the gears look black and it's nice to know that the gear issue was corrected... As for the Evo II the early ones came with the 1st gen stock gears... That can be confirmed with Nicko from TM... From the pic of Tabushi chassis that he posted in another thread, he is using the 1st gen chassis with the 1st gen gears... Not to make a big issue out of all this... I'm just happy TM is going in the right direction with this car..

I have confirmed black gears on the new car. I did note that I bolded it. see page 2. I talk to Nick almost every day. Yes you are right some early EVOII's had previous gearboxes. I don't guess. If Its not confirmed fact I don't post it.
