Default Front Diff

Hey Guys,

I have just got my parts for a front diff - 502115, K14125 and the internals. My question is do I need a front diff pulley (K14122-9) or does the front spool come to bits somehow?

I run the ED trans.

Cheers

yes, u will need to buy seperately the k14122-9 30T pulley for your front diff. it doesn't come with the diff kit.

Hi gansei,

I think the G4 New Back Bracket, is like the back bracket in part no.502196. But it allows to use the 2 positions for the lower hinge pin.

With the new position you may get a more stable rear, but I have never had a car with this adjustment, and I havent tested it yet !!

If you want a nice easy to drive fast car, please try the set up posted on the raceday team forum, but you need to do the whole set up, not different springs or shock towers !! If you are struggling, sometimes its good to go back to basics, and a car you know

Good luck.

You mean the piston just goes up and with the compression high, it does not complete one whole revolution but instead just comes back down and then up the other way? So you're checking that if the bearings are very good, engine clean inside and with just your finger it should do that for long i.e. many times on its own?

What you clean the parts with when you take it apart?

When customers ask me what tools I recommend I always reply with:

Hudy (most expensive)
Mugen (they make a great complete tool set Part # B0529)
Thunder Tiger (best bang for the buck)

All three have replacable tips. I suggest getting a standard tip set (1.5, 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0mm), then a 2.5mm ball-tip driver for teh motor mount screws and then a 5.5mm nut driver for 3mm nuts.

I also HIGHLY recommend getting a Lithium cordless screwdriver. The small Skil IXO (about $35) works great but is single speed and doesn't have an adjustable clutch. The new Hitachi (about $80) has two speeds, adjustable clutch and comes with two batteries. For tips, I use the Mugen 2.0mm and 2.5mm tips (Part # B0530 and B0531). Ofna also makes a set of tips but I'm not sure of the part number. But once you use a cordless screwdriver you'll kick yourself for not getting one sooner....LOL

Best regards,

Tony P.

If he's talking about the efra GP setup with the solid front it is this link:

Daz - EFRA GP Setup sheet

This is from post #25 of the raceday thread.

Default Chassis protection

Hi All

For those lucky people who are getting or thinking of getting the G4+ and are worried about that unique chassis.
TM do a chassis protector,

K1431-1 Chassis Protector.

Might ease your worries some. Just an idea.

What you clean the parts with when you take it apart?
many times on its own -> i did not count it..

What you clean the parts with when you take it apart? -> novarossi afterrun oil

my piston was side cut modified for lightweight piston.

the area touched piston and sleeve is smaller than normal piston/sleeve set

so up and down activity's load was little.

it's my trick for good engine pressure

Default test report

i tested Knack Solid Shock and new Clutch setup on today.

my G4S can run more aggressive with Knack Solid Shock.

and new clutch setup was very nice.

But i did setup front solid.. my G4S's rear traction is some unstable.

so i changed to diff system again.

and my G4S go very nice.

i recorded best lap 17.022 sec.

i could enter 16.xxx sec.. But My OS TZ's Crankshaft was broken

so my race was stopped and returned home.

another A-main Level driver's Best lap time was 17.3xx

and rest of other drivers recorded pass over 17.5xx sec.

i very satisfied that i could make some large best lap gap with my rival racer.

i tested 3 setup.

1. Knack Solid Shock
2. Front SpeedShot Bulk roll center change
(normal position is the best!!!)
3. clutch setup (1 weight shim.. i always used 2 weight shim)
