Where can I pick up a front differential kit? Or what do I all need to order?

I have a few questions.

1) does the team magic setup gauges clear the middle body post on the G4S? the Hudy one oes quite clear it.

2) what parts have you broken on the car? I went to the track yesterday for pratice and after 4 hours left with no broken parts, my thrust bearing did come off on the track but I was able to find everything.

3) any news on a crash kit by Sam? I haven't been on here for a while so I don't knowif he mentioned anything.

4) Is the regular touring bag by TM big or is it not worth the $90? I know someone who has the 1/8th but I don't feel like spending $200 on a bag nor carrying around something that huge.

5) Finally, what weight are you running on the rear diff and in the shocks. I am running what came with the kit, is that a decent setup?

TM setup works like a charm no hassles with it and the 5th body post doesnt get in teh way

2) what parts have you broken on the car? I went to the track yesterday for pratice and after 4 hours left with no broken parts, my thrust bearing did come off on the track but I was able to find everything.
Provided you dont have bad accidents the car is very robust.
Usual spares needed is a-arms ,hubs and belts.rest is what u think you would need.

3) any news on a crash kit by Sam? I haven't been on here for a while so I don't knowif he mentioned anything.
Not sure but give Sam a call.

4) Is the regular touring bag by TM big or is it not worth the $90? I know someone who has the 1/8th but I don't feel like spending $200 on a bag nor carrying around something that huge.
The Touring bag is very good only downside is the cardboard draws.
It does carry all teh necessary spares and equipment with out any hassles.

5) Finally, what weight are you running on the rear diff and in the shocks. I am running what came with the kit, is that a decent setup?
The std setup out of themanual is ok but depends on what type track you run on.TM site has some setups from last year of Brian Berry and Dennis Richey might be an idea to check them out.
general idea on shocks is thicker oil like 50wt/60wt with 1.2mm holes in pistons. As for diff id suggest 30k rear oil.

Rear upper links strip out pretty easy(seems like a weak point in the car), control arms are always good to have spares of although I havent needed hardly any at all, belts are also a good thing to have spares of. You should get a spring kit or two so you can work on fine tuning your suspension. The oils that come in the kit are a good staring point and will get you going. I have the 1/8th bag and it is huge, I havent seen the 10th bag but I am sure for me it isnt big enough, I am thinking about a second 1/8th bag. I too would also like to know if the TM setup kit clears the 5th post or not.

Also, you should always have a spare bearing kit in your box as well.

I will keep you all posted on my paint schemes. Ready to do a insane concourse soon. But that won't be for a few weeks with everything going on and all.

As far as the 3 new 1/8 scales, I will let you know where I address my posts for sure man!! I have only drove the Serpent '07 960 once since the build. That was last week at our local club race. I raced it bone stock right out of the box, defaust setup and that thing was already about 95 dialed. In fact it was so dialed that I wasn't sure what I could change to go faster. But I have some goodies for it just waiting to be put on. And they are some of the more serious upgrades like the smaller diameter ceramic bearings and stuff to lighten up the car a bit. As far as the Slide, well I'm missing like 3 very important parts for the newer rear end and swaybar set up. So I won't take it out till it's 100%. And my newest baby...the MOTONICA!!! I haven't really started the build yet because I am still cleaning out the grease from the bearings so I can oil them properly. But getting there. My guess with the Motonica is that there is less then 15 in the US. So I will be on my own with this puppy. But that's not an issue as I have already had about 4 dudes from all over the World already help out with my build and I haven't even asked anyone yet. They just keep tabs on who has one and offer the help. It's too killer man.

After I get all these 1/8th scales squared away, I need to go through my G4S as she is feeling neglected lately. Poor thing. But I NEED some of those parts that they use on the G4+...like the rear swaybar! Oh that is exactly what I wanted them to make...it looks like the shit man!!! These are the BEST type of sway bars IMO. Serpent has used them for years and you can dial in your car so much faster and easier with this little beasts.

Sweet guys!!! Well I need to try and paint some or something. Talk soon my KILLER G4S crew!!!!
SerpentD
I also have a 960 07 and the car is sweet, Im also fixing my G4S to transform it to a G4S+/- (not quite the complet+ but sort of it)

We have great cars!!!! have fun an the new CENTRAL body is sweet!!! LETS WAIT FOR THE NEW SHADOW

I run 64mm tyres and buy those stickers for the side wall or put some super glue/contact glue.
Might not be the right thing to do but haven't had anyone correct me.
razzor is right! use some contact adhesive and put about 2 layers on (let dry between 1st and 2nd application)

superglue ends up to be a bit hard and can cause issues going through corners!
Bottom line is, like Razzor said, stay on the racing line and away from other drivers and most of you problems will be solved!

Good job Asil on going from C main to A-main. That is an achievment in itself. I can just imagine racing in the A main for 1 hour with the big dogs. Must have been nerve wracking. Anyway, how did you place?

can anyone list all the bearing sizes the TM uses?

like the most important oones in the bearings and possibly the others, i don't think I would lose the car ones as much as the cltch ones.

also anyone know where I can prob get a cheap full bearing set.

when I say cheap i mean in price not quality, but i also don't want ceramic bearings or something that will be expensive.

deff rubber sealed tho
