If you have time, go back I think about 50 pages as there was some dramas reported in thread about gear stripping with correct mesh (???)

Also check if the sencond gear housing is fitted correctly with the 2 bearing, because you get alot of play after a while of using it the aluminum gets worn out and the 2nd gear start to wobble. You can do two things change to a new housing OR try to install a diferent size bearing (same inner size but larger outter dim. The bearing must be PRESS FIT to the 2nd gear housing.

Is this IFMAR / EFRA legal engine ? You better check it first..... especially the crankshaft part.

i know that IFMAR / EFRA legal has some restriction about shaft.

But the restriction was disappeared as i know in recent days...

for 2007 i think the crank rules have been scrapped.
only real limitation is .12 capacity and 3 ports as well as 5mm or is it 5.2mm stinger on pipe. There used to be a ruling about Ceramic bearings but i think that is also in the past.

Something I nead to tell you guys about.............
Becareful when applying thread lock to the ED system "end-of-shaft" pulley screws!

I had a problem this last Sunday.

When using the ED two speed shaft and the Stainless Steel two speed cam. (The K Factory one) The tolerence between these two parts is sufficient, but still small. It is actually a nice fit, but............
When you have finnished assembling the two speed and you go to put thread lock on the screw, it can get between the two speed cam and the ED two speed shaft.(It even got as far as the two speed bearings?! )
And I didn't put that much on either!!!
I'm thinking, the heat generated from the two speed and maybe the brakes, was enough to soften it enough for the fluid to get that far down!

Anyway, the result was that the two speed shoe's and K Factory cam would not come out!! It was that fast in there I actually thought that the drive pin at the back of the cam had brocken and somehow wedged itself in the cam, locking it onto the shaft.
But, alas, it was just the thread lock.
So, be careful using that stuff near your two speed. It was a messy job pulling the car apart without being able to part the two speed and the brakes from the rear baulkhead, just for the sake of a little thread lock.

BM i had a similar problem with teh 2speed clutch refusing to come out.Guys said i must have dropped the shaft and i should file it to let the cam slide out ok.
Before i went that extreme I unscrewed the shoes and released them leaving the cam inside.Turns out that the slot on the cam had somehow been pinched narrower and it wouldnt budge from the pin on the shaft.
Eventually levered it of and filed it a bit and reassembled the 2 speed and all was OK.

Ok. Thanks Razzor I'll check the cam and see if it's pinching the pin as you had found.
That would figure if that was the case.

Although now I have them all apart. The cam slides on the shaft and onto the pin nicely again. But I'll check anyway.

Thanks again.

I think, If I'm not mistaken, there is still the rule on venturi size (diameter) on the carb air intake.
I think this needs to be below 5.4mm.
