i don't have any problem's w/mine sitting still..if it move's the clutch is set-up wrong or idle is too high....you got to be careful using parking lot's cause they have lot's of samll rock's that will get caught in the belt's and ruin belts/gear's...

So I got this bad boy out today!!! OMFG... This thing is fast as can be.. I was gonan race one of the guys that was bragging about is LD3 w/OS18CV... I think I could have easily taken him, but he put it away just after I got the motor up to temp...

I have one question though. I am used to the shaft diven RC's... Well to get to the point... do you find that belt driven are less likely to sit still while idling versus a shaft driven RC?
What you have is a Mongoose which was a G4 Evo with more hop ups included. And to be honest with you with never gonna want to drive a shaft drive again after driving a belt because its so much easier to drive. And they are about the same on how they sit and idle all that depends on is ur clutch settings and idle.

I think it might be in the clutch... I pretty sure about my idle cause any lower and it stalls... I started using 25% Nitro, so I did some low and high speed runs to give it a couple tanks of run in. A little fine tuning and I think I'll have this thing running right... My current running temps are in the 210-220 range...

I used to have a Traxxas 4Tec and the belts were fairly tight... the belts are kinda loose on the G4... not so loose they come off, but looser than the 4Tec... Does that sound right?

I apologize is these questions have been asked before... I need to DL the manual and give that a once over...

Hi Guys, recently purchase a Falcon engine for my G4s. Just want to know if anyone here have experience using such engine, which can share.

Question: What difference can clutch hardness cause the car? Cheers!

Hey All,

Since all of us have been out of racing over the month, we all ended up racing this weekend just gone.... Overal the competition was tight and good racing.

I have taken a few pics to show the G4 crew on the day, i call us the LOCALS G4S....

As for my results:

Heat 1 4th - not overally happy on car handling (Changed the Springs)
Heat 2 6th - Glow plug failed last 3 2mins of race
Heat 3 3rd - Got the handling sussed and had a nice clean race (52T Spur Rocks)
TQ 2nd in Group B Final - Finished 3rd due to GLITCH (still getting that odd Glitch) damn it

Group A Final TQ10th - Finished 9th - i didnt have probs with the race, it was just everyone was on it and so close, so it was difficult to get up front as everyone drove well, i was coming 6th at one stage then a few little errors from me, and better driver got the best of me.

Lost a bit of power in Final due to climate change, but overall i finishd, nothing broken just gotta work out the Glitch

Cheers
Frankie

He uses spektrum. Welcome to my world Frankie. As you know i too had a bad glitch issue using spektrum.
I noticed that the antenna wire does not like sharp bends or kinks. If you have a kink in it replace the antenna wire.

Also make sure before the antenna goes through the deck it does not touch the aluminum parts under the deck.

Good luck
