I know someone had said this is the best RTR on the market and I do believe that. It's just that there is very little documentation to go with it, and what is with it seems to be in broken english. I ordered a book on nitro engines and how to tune them and I'm sure I can figure that out as I am somewhat mechanically inclined. One thing I'm not sure about though, is how you adjust the shift points on the the two speed tranny. If anyone could offer some info.(maybe with a picture) I would certainly appreciate it.

Sully- Don't forget that as you are breaking in and leaning out the engine, the 2nd gear shift point may change and engage earlier. That's because the engine gets more powerful and reaches max speed earlier. In this case, you need to tighen the screws 1/4 turn at a time.

Is the "G4S" and "G4S Pro Kit" the same car? I've seen it listed both ways.

Also, what specific SH engine comes with the sedan RTR?? There is a Novarossi logo next to the picture of the engine (click here - 3/4 ways down the page). Is it Novarossi-based?

OK, I am definately a rookie because I can't figure out what screws that you are all talking about. Do you or anyone have a picture of the screws in question.

The SH engine is not Novarossi based. If you read the paragraph of text just above the picture of the Nova, it says TM has worked closely with Nova to ensure Novarossi engines will fit in the car and would be a perfect upgrade option once you are comfortable with the speed the SH provides. Further on it goes on to explain clutch upgrades as well.

Hope this clears up the confusion.

If you go to this link here and on page two and on the very left hand side where you can see this pic seems to have been cut off, you can see the two speed parts in the exploded view. There are two halves and they are held together with screws and springs.

To adjust the shift point so it shifts later, you screw the screws in - To make it shift earlier you screw the screws out.

It should be pretty close from the factory so just wait until you run the car and then worry about it if you need to.

Thanks bro! Didn't read most of that 3rd paragraph.

Still looking to find out what specific SH engine comes with the RTR though. Is it comparable to something like an O.S. TZ 3-port?

The SH .12 engine would fit a little below the .12TZ. SH only makes one .12 I think and this is what's supplied with the car. It's probably on par with the previous generation of engines (Nova NS.12 S3, O.S. .12. TR, etc).

The SH .12 engine is actually a very nice engine.
It has a good power band and smooth.
When run with the Missile pipe its tamed down a bit and is perfect for a beginner.Change the pipe to a more popular pipe and the engine is a rocket.
Also a 1st gear change to a shorter ratio really wakes it up.
Nothing slow about it, id say a very good club engine.

Thanks razzor. Good info. So what pipes would you recommend people switch to?

Any pipe other than the Kfactory pipe would run better.
Preferance would be the Nova/JP 2601 ,VR12 Plus.
