That looks like it could be the trouble.Cross fingers and give another a try.
Kfactory cam should be a lot better.

Hey Guys, well back with more modz, this time the front bulk head as most of you all ready know have spotted that it requires to be strengthened!!!

i didnt use epoxy, but used a product called Knead-IT as it drys like a hard clay metal substance!!!

Here is a before after shot - i am no clay modeler, but i tried the soapy water thingo and it did help a bit in the smoothness!!!

Enjoy

Dude, hey man. Well I've been thinking about your 15T pinion problem ever since you first posted it. I can tell you from my 1:8 scale experience that if I ever trashed a spru that I would always look at the 2 speed first (unless I noticed motor loose or something). I would start there personally. I would follow razzor's advice and rev it for a few on the starter box and double check any wear issues or remesh issues. But I do think it has something to do with your 2-speed. Good luck my friend and keep us posted! Later.

The best thing you do is to take your time when your building one of this kits. Your doing the right thing, After you put something together double check it to make sure its right. And another thing keep those pictures coming!!!

I was thinking of your problem last night KH and I think Serpentd is right......look at your two spped, more specifically, the bearings in the two speed housing. Are they still in good shape.
Make sure they are not too loose. The speed that the main shaft runs at, around 13000 rpm with the ED system or around 17000 rpm with the stock transmission ! It's very hard on those small bearings. They nead to be in good shape and they must not be loose on the housing.

Either of these could cause inconsistant meshing and vibration which could strip your spur. I guess it could also be cause premature wear on the pinion gears too??!

Something else to check I guess. Hope this helps.

Also noticed after every rebuild that the 2 speed housing gets worn where the bearing locates and starts to have some rock on it after a fair bit of running.Looks like the ally is soft and and slowly gets bigger that the bearing starts to float around in the hole.
Sorry Razzor.......guess you already brought that one to Patto's attension. Beat me to it again. Didn't have time to look down the thread. As long as it's bean brought up. Good job Razzor.

I've acually modded my two speed housing to take a larger bearing due to this. When I get on line at home I'll be able to foreward photo's.
Good work again Razzor.
