Ive been lucky ,have yet to loose a belt.
But one of the guys at the club has lost 3 front belts.Figured out the bearing housing for the front pulley assembly was warped/twisted causing too much slack on the front belt .

My belts are also sprayed with WD40 and then wiped off.
I think after a year of club racing I should just change them before the nats next month.
Belts also take punishment if you have lots of excursions/accidents.

Forgot to mention the belts are a wear and tear item so if its lasted as long as mine have then we are lucky
Id suggest inspecting the belts for cracks and missing teeth before any race meeting and when you doing maintenace and repairs.
The WD40 does seem to help but is not a guarantee ,its also very popular for electric racers to use on there belt driven cars.

Hi,

For the belts, i've changed mine basically after 10 full race days. In Quebec our racing season is short and our club hosts only 10 races during the summer.

I install new belts at the beginning of the season and basically they have just a little bit of life left after season. I keep the old ones for spares just incase.

Nice pic Thought we were the only ones with bad ass lightning storms.

Lucky for us were coming out of the rainy season although inland we could use more rain.

I am about to make the decision right now I need some advice.

for parts I will have to order online, and place $50 orders fromr aceday for free shipping every time . Parts support in my area for that car is next to none and if I go to a hobby shop and ask for them to order the parts they will overcharge me like crazy. I own a mongoose so this car will be like buying $300 in hopups, I already know the layout of the car.

the MTX-4 is completely new to me, part support is about 30-40% here, but I would be doing most my ordering online as well. Only benefit I see from the mtx-4 is most racers run it and if I break a part at the track I can probably buy it off them.

Both are great cars and about the same price. plz help me decide and give me reasonable opinions not "G4S all the way" plz convince me.
G4s for $302 shipped? Got a site? I'll buy another one for that price.

Sorry i cant help with your problem. I do have a question for you. I noticed you mounted your receiver on the transponder mount. Did you do that for a reason?
