If you are using the std size spectrum pro receiver you will need to replace it. The pro receiver has problems with fuel and vibration that it would be subjected to in a nitro car. I would suggest you pickup the micro receiver it doesn't have the vibration problems the regular pro module does, has extra filters and a lower voltage threshold.

The Pro receiver case is made of the same material as the micro case so fuel is not an issue. The original case like in the photo Kodak has put up does have a problem with fuel (case gets crazed and melts a little often causing glitching and is usually only obvious where the double sided tape keeps the fuel soaked in).

I think I agree with the comment about the voltage though. i notice that if the voltage gets a little low then it tends to fail safe quite regularly.

problem fixed double PINK baloon

then

in she goes to the cradle area

then

bit of heat shrink over the servo wires and tucked up in the section of the carbon deck!!!

then

then more over kill heat shrink on antenna and drill hole so its not kinked!!!

overal its a bit over doing it, but the balloon trick works well, keep in mind guys replace it once ever month id say as it does get little dirty etc!!!

i have changed mine recently!!

Hey Motorman, nice to hear from you. Thanks for the hook up on parts ect.

I just sold my M11/Spektrum setup, and installed a Nomadio React. I'm stoked about the telemetry feature. I can tell in second exactly what my rx batt level is and I also installed the temp monitor. I don't know how accurate the temp monitor will be, but once I have a baseline I can set it to alert me to any temp I want it too. Also the radio is software based and you can set all parameters via laptop, or you can set them through the radio like any other. It is also the fastest radio system at 100 fps. With this radio and the Jr 9000s servo my steering is wicked fast. I had to dial in some exp to chill it out.

I believe some glitching may be caused by the antenna vibrating against the graphite radio tray. Maybe maybe not, but I used a small piece of antenna tube and drilled the factory hole in the graphite to fit. I then glued the piece of tube in place with CA. The picture attached is w/Nomadio installed, but I never had a glitching issue with the Spektrum either. Just an idea...

Yeah Paul....put some pics of what your doing. It's always good to see mods that we're all doing to improve the car.
It's good to see.
