[QUOTE=Bundy_Bear]Hi Guys

I installed a brand new Mega ZX12 into my G4S on Sunday night and finished running it in at the track tonight. This is the first time i have ran the car since i had those one way bearing failures in the 2 speed. I have installed the new KFactory hardened cam and borrowed a friends bearing from his G4 Evo. Problem i have now is no mater what i do it won't change gears... I even pulled it apart and rebuilt it again in case i was a noob. Still nothing

I borrowed friends 2 speed from his Mongoose and it works fine, so i know it is nothing else. I will have more of a play shortly, but all i have done is changed the Cam

I too had the same problem. The hardend cam is way more efficient. The car shifts early with the same spring tention. Mine was shifting right away. Like the others on this forum tightening it did the trick. Put some paint in the hole of one of the adjustment holes to make sure you can tell them apart so that you dont tighten the same one twice. That did the trick.

Default 2 speed adjustment

Razzor
somewhere between 8 -9 turns after you start the threads into the shoes with the new stiffer springs and hardened cam should get you real close.

There doesn't appear to be a part number for the hubs alone at this stage.

As Sam (G4S'er) said, the hubs can only work with the current G4(S) hardware when you have the special inserts to carry the current bearings. These are also not available yet.

I'm pretty sure Sam detailed all this in a post about a couple of days ago.

Cheers,

Mike.

Thanks Daniz24. These are all on my website and prices as well. I have the Flash Pit kits in now and have all the hubs and inserts coming at the end of the month. The inserts will be ready at that time I was told. Then you can purchase the hubs and use your present axles!

Holeshot / Razzor:

Turns out it did need to be screwed in more, but when i got to the point were it would change, the screws were sticking out of the bottom of the shoes. I have changed the 2 speed springs over to Evo ones that are longer in length and all is good now...

Bring on tomorrow so i can burn some

wow, you guys werent kidding. Sam, you ROCK! I ordered this stuff 4 days ago and its already sitting in my mailbox! If anyone needs parts for their G4, I have to say Raceday is the way to go. Fair prices, excellent personal service and outstanding shipping/processing speed. (almost too fast!)

I couldnt believe it, when i called and had a question i was expecting to have to leave a message, wait 3 days, then call back and leave another...

not with Sam... I called the number on the website and it was his cell! he answered my call and questions immediately!

Again, if you cant tell, I'm impressed and will definately be using raceday from now on.

Thats good to that you sorted.
I know when I built my car one of the tips was to shorten the clutch screws a mm or so ,worked for me.
The G4 build tips on 3hobby was a big plus when I built my car.

It was kinda my fault, i got trigger happy on the exit of the sweeper and left the track on the outside as a result. I got marshalled, but put right back in front of the leaders as they were coming through. I will have a closer look tomorrow, but i am hoping it is just the arm and shock end...
