So Mr Trinity is really Mr Grumpy, who does not like to see anyone having fun, so he buys up all the import contracts then refuses to sell you the goods.

Good job I'm not in America

not trinity, every car kit they get they just destroy. first they had the reflex, then the g4, then the t-spec(was going to be the next big electric spec class). the 2 nitro cars were good kits, trinity just dropped support. the t-spec you couldn't even get parts support. you can send some pics to me if you want.
me and my friendswere Victim of Trinity, we had Reflex, G4 and T-spec, also Sirio engine before. I wonder how they make money by NOT selling items maybe Rc is their Money laundry for their "other" bussiness

I will send the picture when I finish cleaning teh car, having an exam next week make me really stress and busy.

Why did you order from overseas? From what I've seen the US online retailers (Raceday, Winners Circle) are pricing just as low if not lower.
the cheapest I found it was at RC Mushroom, for $425 USD.

I ordered it from there because i couldnt find it in the US anywhere, all i could find were parts for the G4, no RTR kits.

My friend found a place at the last minute, but i had already ordered it and the payment had gone through already.

Live and learn, i guess.

but, i took it out and we got it tuned in and man...
this little cars sizzles.

Hey fellas, I have a G4 RTR kit and I want to upgrade to the G4S. Apparently I can use this same chassis and just upgrade piece by piece, so I was wondering if you guys knew what parts I should get in what order? I was thinking about suspension first, any thoughts?

Also, does anyone else feel that the location of the crystals for the G4 are a little silly? The first night I had it, my friend and I were heat cycling it and almost smashed it into a curb because a tiny rock cracked the crystals underneath the chassis.

they position the Rx for weight distribution, the car is design for race on track.

about the convertion, I suggest you get the steering system, front CVD, and that is it. those fancy shock tower isn't always nedded. maybe get the UFO clutch as RTR come with 3 shoe only. swap out the missile pipe for Skyline pipe, much better. yeah also the chassis of G4S is more durable in design, get that if possible

The easy way to upgrade your G4 to a G4S is the conversion kit. This gives you the single cam steering system, new chassis with better weight distribution, the special battery, top carbon plate and more. This will cost about $189.95 and more depending where you shop.

The suspension on the G4 is good. If you wish to do it piece by piece the steering has to be the first item in my opinion. There is a steering conversion kit that I carry that will give you the single cam steering. The UFO Clutch sytem and the VR12 Plus pipe would certainly help with speed on low and high end side. Look at your gearing opportunities as well.

the single cam steering does what exactly? allow the car to turn faster and tighter?

sorry for n00b questions, i'm brand new to this sport.

now, i have the original g4 still with the slide rack steering. i haven't raced the car all that much and never have had a problem with the steering. also the car still has the orginal clutch and spring. i saw a g4s on ebay for $320.00. wouldn't i be better buying something for around that price, then buying the chasis upgrade kit plus the ufo clutch? yeah my old g4 has the stock gearing and all, she is pretty dated i guess. the car does handle well. i don't mind trying something different(car brand wise) but early on the the g4 days in the usa parts support was not the best.

Default G4's total tip from gansei

1) kawahara RRR's roll bar

i used 950/960 serpent fuel tank post.

it was fixed under receiver's cover by bolt(V type)

2) rear upper arm

i used V-ONE RRR parts.

parts number is VZ210.

and it need four 3X6 bearing.

3) side stiffener tune.

i removed aluminum part from G4S's option side stiffener to give more roll.

it's feel good.. more stability ^^

G4S's rear upper arm is made by ball end type.

when i change real camber, rear upper arm ball end is turn aside.

rear sus arm moving is disturbed when upper arm ball end is turn aside.

so i changed rear upper arm by RRR style.
