Do you guys have problem with ultra close brake disc to engine ? I even use 20/25 pinion gears and it still dangerously too close.

Is there smaller diameter brake disc for G4S ?

I briefly had the RRR, and on that you had to sit the carb at an angle else it would be touching the brake disc.
Gap between motor and disc (Kfactory option) on mine is about 1mm running 18/24

Can't sleep well in the past few days hehehe .......

So here I comes

I installed her with awesome torque of KO Propo 2364 and 2366 Servos, crystal clear radio signal from Futaba PCM 1024 and finally Novarossi NSR12 with berrylium p/s/r for power and durability.

Her maiden race will be on 23rd of July with special painted Lola body like this. ( I'll post the picture later this week ).

I guess i'll postpone the race if i dont wanna blow the engine.
Pierre, I would hope that the hobby shop would help in some way if you were to buy fuel and tyres and plugs and other things. I guess this is the risk with mail order.

I would suggest you go to the race meeting and maybe even contact the club president before hand and explain that you're new to this and maybe they can get someone to help you before racing starts to show you the basics and help set your engine. It's too hard to diagnose such a thing over the net.

Cheers,

Mike.

Your car problem is within the engine mounting screws. Please use the original ones from the box.

fix the brake disk into a drill and with a file; file down the edge while the drill rotates the disk.

or

i used a machine screw and a nut to lock the disk onto the screw, then placed the assembly into a drill. glued a piece of wet and dry to a block, fixed the block into a vice. started the drill and rubbed the disk against the wet and dry until the correct diameter was reached.

remember safty first, a good clear head visor will stop any dust/metal from hitting your face.

Thanks for the idea...... I go to a machinist some day during rebuild intervals ( currently the car is too cute to be dismantle ).

i also noticed that my brake disc is very close to the engine, but i doubt that it will hit the engine. think we need to inform TM on it then.

as for the servo, m using Sanwa VX for throttle & VR for steering.

Choose the best you can afford.

I'm using KO Propo 2366 & 2364 - 13kg metal gears because I'm torque junkie.

I then started off with .6 gap but I played with the gap to get the right feel. The engine is still no terror off the turns so don't expect too much.

I ran 18/23 and 52/47 gears.

Cheers,

Mike.
Thanks man, btw can you give me the updated track preparation or better such as gear ratio and tire shore suits best for the WC track in Brisbane? Or where can I search for it
