I see what you were talking about now. If I got a used engine, I'd tear it down, seal it up and start at break in settings. Thats what you were sugesting.

Pretty much, except the tear down & reseal. Although that is also a smart thing to do.

Alright thanks guys. I'll play around with it once I get some batteries for the starter box.

This is what he did with it before I purchased the truck.

"Broke in on the bench for the first 2 tanks.. I ran it up too 200 on the temp gun then shut it off let it cool with the piston down.. After that leaned out 1/8 of a turn on each tank ran in it for 5 tanks made sure the temps where not over 240.. Mostly idled around with 1/4 throttle blurps and so on..I never really got the chance to run it 3/4 or full throttle.. I was still breaking it in."

Sounds ok. Check temps after a few WOT runs. The temps at low revs will be different

On a differant subject make sure that you are using some kind of filter oil on your air filter. These engines don't like dirt inside of them.

I have a bottle/tube of some that I got at the hobby shop. It's some blue gel shit I've been using it every time.

call me mad, i ran my engine overheated till i blew so many plugs. changed fuel (kamakazi to blue thunder) playing it rich prolly bout a tank or 2 before tuning it back to ''normal''. it`s still running well. no worries bout switching fuels at all.
