Tony,
Ashford Hobby has the 705/835 premade Serpent pack for $27.

Modellor is right about making your own pack for cheaper...the Serpent pack is 720mah while you can make a 800mah for about half the pice!!

I've seen a LOT of people in this thread have purple fuel tubing on their 705's. Can you please tell me where you got it? Does anyone know of any online stores that have purple fuel tubing in stock?

Thanks!

Are you looking for this?

Unhappy My balls.

Why are the aluminum pivot balls that serpent sells soooo expensive? Is it really that much harder to make the pivot balls out of aluminum? And whats this "coating" have to do with anything, (serpent claims to have some special coating on these balls) part#808347. 60 bucks MANNN!!! its crazy. does anyone know the price of the stock pivot balls?

Watsup Lost man?

Since this is an optional part i believe it have to be expensive. Same for the stock screw against the Alu. screw, Alu. screws are more expensive then the stock screw, atleast thats what Serpent sell.
The stock pivot balls sell for about 12 bucks for 2 pieces. Multiply by 4 set is about 48 bucks for total of 8 Pivot ball required.

I believe the PTFE coating on that alu pivot ball is the smoothness of that coating.

PS : you shld have got that Ti Pivot balls is cheaper or let me know.

Default Cleaning and breaking down

Hey snakes how often do yall break down your serpents? I take mine apart after every weekend of racing. for routine cleaning. im sure there are other folks that do the same, if so have you incountered any problems with taking the car apart and putting it back together every weekend? (any problems with the graphite?). I just usually break it down to the four main parts..the top deck, front assembly, rear assembly, and the engine. today I noticed some impressions (from the screws) on the opposite sides of the braces, (where they actually touch the aluminum "x" brace). It kind of made scared...those braces arent cheap.lord knows nothing is cheap on the most beautifull car in the world. Has anyone found the difference in weight between the hollow mid shaft and the standard one?, what about the standard pivot balls and the aluminum ones, Hey niz do you know the difference between the titanium two speed shaft and the standard one?

The only problems I have had with my Snake so far is the crap quality of the Carbon Fibre and the soft allen head screws wearing out. I had to do some work to both the Radio Tray and the rear bodypost mount to get them to fit without any problems.
But then again Carbon Fibre parts on Serpents have always been poor anyway.

Other than that I havent had any problems and I strip my car down after each weekend too. I changed most of the screws to Phillips type as they are more forgiving when the plastic is hard to tap into.
